Overview Welcome to Transferology™! The information in this presentation is also available in the Transferology User Guide for Advisors, and in the Transferology User Guide for Recruiters. The User Guides are brief, function-focused documents that are written to guide the user through the application, thereby supplementing the Help and overlay features already built into Transferology.

Basics Navigation

◦ As you work within the Transferology Lab, keep an eye out for the green “action buttons” that will help you process, proceed, and move to other areas

◦ These buttons generally appear as light green rectangles with white text (ex. )

Hyperlinks◦ Hyperlinks generally appear as blue text or colored buttons/icons and

usually have a tooltip that appears when you hover (ex. )

Basics, continued Notification Bubbles

◦ When processing information within certain areas of Transferology, colored text bubbles may appear onscreen momentarily to notify the user. The bubbles generally appear in the upper-right part of the screen near the username, and only display temporarily (about 5 seconds).◦ Red notification bubbles contain alerts (ex. )◦ Green notification bubbles contain information

◦ NOTE: If you click within a green notification bubble while it is displayed onscreen, you will be linked to an area with additional information to view. (Ex. )

User Preferences User preferences including changes to the user profile, overview of program requests, and logging out can be accessed in the top right of the menu bar on the User's drop-down menu:

◦ My Stuff allows you to view your roles and change your password

User Roles Access to different areas and functions within the application is assigned based upon the user role assigned in the User Management System (UMS) by your school's Transferology Lab Administrator.

User Functions (All) Anyone who has an account in Transferology Lab has access to the following features:◦My Stuff (profile)◦(School) Profile Preview/List of Users◦View Equivalencies◦View Programs◦Manage Course Bundles

Profile Preview/List of Users The school Profile Preview is the default tab displayed within the user’s Transferology Lab account

It provides a preview of how the school profile will appear to students in Transferology

The Users tab contains a list of all the users at your institution and their roles◦ This will be helpful if you come across a class that is not articulated

yet, that you think should be, so that you can contact the Transfer Specialist at your institution to review it

View Equivalencies View Equivalencies is a robust feature of Transferology that any user in Transferology Lab to view comprehensive lists of all of the equivalencies that participating schools have defined

From the I would like to... drop-down menu, click the View Equivalencies function:

View Programs View Programs allows that any user in Transferology Lab to view the program lists for different schools to create 'What If' audits (where available)◦ Programs may be run for any school with integration connected to its degree

audit

From the I would like to... drop-down menu, click the View Programs function:

Manage Course Bundles A course bundle is a collection of courses that any user in Transferology Lab can assemble for the purpose of creating different transfer scenarios for a student◦ The Manage Course Bundles functionality simulates the student's user

experience in Transferology by allowing users to locate schools that accept transfer coursework and run student audits

◦ Users have the capability to create multiple bundles, thereby streamlining their workflow

◦ Any student request, regardless of information requested, is copied or routed to the Recruit Students Module
