tram de la puntilla
DESCRIPTION
This book reviews my Fall 2010 Special topics Studio with Professor Manuel Delgado. The studio began with a research trip to Puerto Rico, where site analysis was taken first hand. A strong understanding of the architecture, history, culture, education, transportation and nature of the island became a crucial component in the success of this semester-long project.TRANSCRIPT

Façade System: One of the many amazing opportunit ies that accompany designing buildings in an arid cl imate come in the form of open air bui lding systems with fenestrat ion that is not required to be weather - sealed.

The view from the North (above) is the most common vantage point for any traveler vis i t ing Old San Juan, as i t the view from the ci ty i tsel f . The building was designed to service a massive density of travel lers , but at the same t ime preventing the stat ion from becoming a sol id wal l , cutt ing off Old San Juan from its majest ic views of the harbor from La Punti l la .
