Aim and content This in-‐service teacher-‐training course deals with how to make sense of sta:s:cal informa:on through different presenta:on forms and media. The par:cipants will understand how to develop students’ sta:s:cal concepts and thinking.
Special a@en:on will be paid to interna:onal databases and func:onality related to presenta:on of data in graphs, tables and maps as well as comparisons of :me-‐series data sets. Also the developed toolbox offers the interac:vity of uploading own data.
The pedagogical advice will use an ac:vity-‐based approach, based on problem-‐solving and on concept development. Loca6on and date The training will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark from 7-‐10 September 2015. Venue: Københavns Åbne Gymnasium (Copenhagen Open Gymnasium) Sjælør Boulevard 133 2500 Valby We hold 15 rooms for par:cipants in First Hotel Exelsior (arrival Sunday 6, leaving Thursday 10 September), very close to the venue and the Central railway sta:on of Copenhagen. Price: 740 EUR. This covers: -‐ Hotel: 440 EUR (4 nights, incl. breakfast) -‐ Training: 300 EUR (incl. course materials, coffee breaks and meals noon). Apply for a grant! Under Erasmus+ teachers can apply via their school to take part at this training and get fully funded by a European grant.
Schools need to apply for grants before 4 March 2015.
The I-‐Use Project can provide a par:al grant for some teachers who don’t get funded via Erasmus+.
