National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-30, an organization under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India is organizing a one-day training on Terrace / Backyard Gardening for residents of Hyderabad to promote food and nutritional security in the Urban and Peri-urban areas. Venue : National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-30 Date : November 9. 2015, 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Monday) Who can participate : House wives, male and female members of resi-dent associations, entrepreneurs and any other members interested in growing terrace / backyard garden in and around Hyderabad City. Content to be covered : The training will provide hands on experience on various aspects of gardening such as preparation of potting mixture, growing of crops, compost making, pest and disease management, wa-tering techniques, etc. Registration fee : Rs.250/- per participant which includes cost of training, working lunch, refreshments (two times) and reading material. *registration for the participants will be on first-come-first basis.
