2014 TRAINERS’ INTENSIVE PROSPECTUS
Intent: We have two main goals in presenting this program: First, a hallmark of the Institute’s programs is their “sticky” quality; these trainings continue teaching after the program ends, building skill, promoting understanding, and developing self-‐awareness even after the class sessions end. After training this work successfully in many countries over the past fourteen years, I would like to transfer my knowledge of how to build “sticky”, high-‐transfer programs to you, to empower you to create your best training program ever, and to support you in becoming the best trainer you possibly can be, in service of this amazing work. This is my legacy, to pass on what I’ve learned about effectively training constellation work to you. Second, we prefer to work collaboratively with our participants in selecting and designing the content of these advanced programs. Those of you selecting this program have considerable experience and expertise in the field of constellation work already, and addressing your interests and goals is our main priority. Once you apply, you will be invited into an online classroom. We will engage you in a structured conversation to solicit your ideas, and create a program based on your interests and objectives. Is This for You? If you want to really “land” your programs, to shape constellation work into digestible, learnable pieces, and to see the results in the performance of your students, this program is for you. When you register as a trainer, you become a full participant in shaping the content and direction of this program so that it meets your specific needs. Only six trainer spaces are allotted to allow customizing the program for you and to create enough time for video coaching. Seven observer spaces are available. Sample Topics (actual topics depend in conversation with participants): • How to build a “sticky” curriculum that continues teaching after the training
ends? • What skills, theory, attitudes must students master to do constellation
facilitation well? • How do constellations work (neurologically, other ways)? • How to sell this work to leaders in different professions • How do adults learn? • How to best present your most difficult topics • Underlying theory for trainers that empowers you to create your best training • How to use video feedback to supercharge your training effectiveness

• Auxiliary resources that boost your students capacity as facilitators • Teaching systemic thinking so students can flexibly navigate through complex,
multi-‐layers and multi-‐temporal systems • FC vs. OC – what are the salient differences in theory and skill needed • Teaching somatic calibration & permission skills • Clearly identifying pivotal moments (chair work), hot spots, and turning points
so your students can learn how to follow the flow in the constellation • Useful attitudes/perspectives for trainers • Power dynamics in the classroom • Online vs. in-‐person training approaches – what can you accomplish with each
approach? • When to use what approach in designing your program • How to create clear goals for your program and make satisfied students Benefits If you choose to participate as a TRAINER: • Prior to the Intensive, you have the opportunity to collaborate with the Intensive
Trainer and other trainers to set the agenda and topics that will become our focus during the Intensive.
• You will receive a written agreement enabling you to use the Institute’s materials with proper citation in your training program.
• You have the option to receive video coaching on delivery of a training module that challenges you.
• You have the option to receive video coaching of yourself working with a trainee or student group, as simulated by the observers.
• You have the option to have the Intensive Trainer review your training course materials and/or structure and make suggestions.
• You can receive coaching on professional and personal issues that affect your success as a trainer.
If you choose to participate as an OBSERVER: • You participate in all the sessions, and observe the trainers receiving coaching
and can ask questions and participate in the discussions. • You will stand in roles in constellations that the trainers coach. • You may be invited to facilitate a constellation under the supervision of one of
the trainers, who, in turn will be coached by the Intensive Trainer. • You participate and give feedback as the trainer’s students, and may role-‐play
“challenging students” or other roles as needed. Proposed Schedule: Dates: October 19 – 25, 2014. Arrive Sunday, October 19, 2014. Transportation to the Oregon Coast retreat location will be available by pre-‐scheduled private van. Sunday evening: gathering and orientation. The entire beach is publicly owned and accessible. Mid-‐way through the week, we will offer a drive up the coast through the resort towns of Manzanita and/or Cannon Beach, both with interesting shops and restaurants. October is the shoulder season when the beach community is active and shops are open yet tourism is low. It’s a great time to visit the coast. We will take at least one half-‐day trip up the coast to Cannon Beach and/or Seaside so you can enjoy the grandeur of this beautiful coastline.
