501c3 Status

Window on resolving federal non-profit status before taxes will apply is winding down Significant holiday effort to write up and submit

Anyone interested in incorporation, business organization, etc., is more than welcome to help Have a couple people lined up to review, comment Could use someone eager to take lead on effort

Officiating

Would really like to have more current and former collegiate racers officiating our events Multiple dimensions to why this would be good

Minimum: Do a better job at coordinating, promoting existing LA clinics to racers Done several times in past, got solid participation

Better: Develop & conduct our own clinic(s) Collegiate rules actually not important Want the clinic to focus much more on safety and

logistics issues not addressed by LA clinics Pay experienced promoter-official to develop

Equipment

Could use some more safety equipment Most notably, police/fire/mountain radios

Substantial cost, but not terrible Very useful across all seasons

Bigger procurement issue is FCC licensing Not sure how traveling nature of conference affects this Non-licensed options are less powerful

Could use an electrical engineer/RF afficionado to spend some time on this
