Corporate Confession of Sin | Rev. Andrew Siegenthaler Most holy and merciful Father, we acknowledge and confess before you our sinful nature; prone to evil thoughts and ways; slothful in doing good; unthankful for all your provisions; full of shortcomings and offenses. By your blessed Holy Spirit teach us to hate our errors; cleanse us from our secret faults; and forgive our sins, for the sake of your dear Son. We plead with you, most holy and loving Father, that you will help us to live in the light of your holiness and to walk in your ways, according to the commandment of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Assurance of Pardon

Ministry of Music | Pauline Baxter, solo Is He Worthy Lisa B. Wilson, piano Andrew Peterson Dr. John L. Wilson, organ Do you feel the world is broken? Do you feel the shadows deepen? (We do) But do you know that all the dark won't stop the light from getting through? (We do) Do you wish that you could see it all made new? (We do) Is all creation groaning? Is a new creation coming? (It is) Is the glory of the Lord to be the light within our midst? (It is) Is it good that we remind ourselves of this? (It is) Is anyone worthy? Is anyone whole? Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll? The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave, He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave. Is He worthy? Is He worthy of all blessing and honor and glory? Is He worthy of this? (He is) Does the Father truly love us? Does the Spirit move among us? (He does) And does Jesus, our Messiah, hold forever those He loves? (He does) Does our God intend to dwell again with us? (He does) From every people and tribe, every nation and tongue, He has made us a kingdom and priests to God to reign with the Son. Is He worthy? He is!

SERMON NOTES

If you're more concerned with the rise of the anti-Christ than the return of the King, you've missed the point of Revelation.

1. A Perspective of Ultimate Reality

2. A Perspective of True Worth

3. A Perspective That Demands a Response

BIG IDEA: A PERSPECTIVE SHIFT

Welcome to in-person and online worship at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. We are truly living in uncertain times. However, Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.”

How could He say such a thing in the midst of a world full of pain and suffering? Does He have an answer to comfort a troubled heart?

In fact, Jesus gives us the only antidote when He says, “Believe in God; believe also in me.” Jesus is calling us to believe in the One who was dead, but is now alive. If the resurrection is true, He alone has the power to redeem any circumstance. Jesus can work through anything that life has thrown your way. The world’s answer is to believe in yourself. But that doesn’t seem to offer any real hope. On the contrary, Jesus tells us to stop believing in yourself and instead believe in Him. This is real hope in a hopeless world.

So whether you’ve been a Christian for years or you’re exploring who Jesus is, I pray you are encouraged by this good news. Please let me know how Coral Ridge can serve you in the days and weeks ahead!

Forever Hopeful,

Rob Pacienza, Senior Pastor [email protected] | 954.334.5102
