having an open door policy would affect their system of culture. If the country had a closed door policy, than it would not be able to have detail on the outside world.

During the 17th century the Tokugawa Shogunate took control of Japan. The Toku-gawa family adapts the Close Door Policy. Ja-pan closed all trades with other country, but still traded with the Dutch and China. The

The First Japa-nese Embassy arrived at the year 1860. The Kan-rin Maru was consisted of diplomats from Ja-pan. They went there to learn about the western ways. By learning the modernized ways, Japan
