Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs)
Simply, IPRs are the rights given to persons over the creations of
their minds.
IPRs usually give the creator of intellectual property the right to
control and derive the benefits from writing (copyright), inventions
(Patents), Process (trade secrets) and identifiers (trademarks) for a
defined period of time.

Trade Related Investment Measures (TRIMs)
The Agreement on Trade Related Investment Measures (TRIMs) is one
of Agreements covered under Annex IA to the Marrakech Agreement,
signed at the end of the Uruguay Round (UR) negotiations.
Until the completion of the Uruguay Round negotiations, which produced
a well-rounded Agreement on Trade-Related Investment Measures
("TRIMs Agreement"), the few international agreements providing
disciplines for measures restricting foreign investment provided only
limited guidance in terms of content and country coverage.

Trade Related Aspects of IPRs (TRIPs)
The Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights
(TRIPs) is an international agreement administered by the World Trade
Organization (WTO) that sets down minimum standards for many forms
of intellectual property (IP) regulation as applied to nationals of other
WTO Members. It was negotiated at the end of the Uruguay Round of
the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) in 1994.
Rich Countries had to comply with the rules within a year, poor countries
in which such protection generally was much weaker, had 5 years grace
and the very poorest have 10 years.
