TraCS Support Database Map The following document maps every drop-down field on the Traffic Crash Form to its corresponding table in the support database. This document is broken down into 3 areas… 1. The Crash Form This is a picture of a blank crash form. Each drop-down field on the form is labeled with a red number. This number is what is used to find the field in the database map. 2. Database Map The database map contains 3 columns. TraCS Support Database Map The following document maps every drop-down field on the Traffic Crash Form to its corresponding table in the support database. This document is broken down into 3 areas…

1. The Crash Form • This is a picture of a blank crash form. • Each drop-down field on the form is labeled with a red number.

This number is what is used to find the field in the database map.

2. Database Map

• The database map contains 3 columns. Drop Down List # TraCS Form Field Name Support Database Table Name

• To use this document…

First choose the red number from the Crash Form that goes with the field you want to know about.

Then locate that number in the “Drop Down List #”

column of the Database Map.

From there, the “Support Database Table Name” column gives you the table you need to look up in the Table List at the bottom of the document.

3. Table List

• This area is an alphabetical list of all the tables in the support database that are used on the Crash Form.

• Each bold heading in the table list is the name of a table in the

support database.

• The CodeText column is the literal strings that show up in the drop down fields on the crash form

• The CodeValue column contains the numeric codes that get

stored in the TraCS database when an officer completes the form.
