Pack your own battery operated travel alarm clock for early morning flights and excursions. upon ArriVAl7. upon arrival in destination look for your tour operator representative who will direct you to your resort transportation.8. Attend the welcome briefing that is put on by your tour operator. They will give you good information and ideas on what to do in the area, any safety concerns, excursions etc. Take note of when and how you can get in touch with them and make sure you use them if you have any questions or need any assistance.9. If you have an early morning flight, your room may not be ready upon arrival so pack a change of clothes in your carry-on bag.
aT thE rESort10. Take the time to get to know the staff and their names. The interaction will make a much more memorable and pleasant vacation.11. If you have problems with your resort or room please speak to the hotel management AND your tour operator representative as soon as possible so they can work to rectify the problem for you and you can get on with enjoying your vacation. Don’t wait until you get home – give them a chance to fix the issue while you are there and let you enjoy your vacation.12. Remember to give a tip to any of the staff that makes your stay more special. most all-inclusive resorts are in poorer countries where the gratuities really mean a lot towards helping their quality of life13. If you are booking excursion you are best to do it through a reputable company the tour operator or hotels recommends. Booking with a local in town can be done and often at a cheaper price, however be careful as you don’t want an unsafe excursion and a poor day trip to ruin your vacation.

If there is a departure tax that you must pay locally, put the correct amount of money into your passport when you arrive in destination and lock it up in your safe so the money is set aside for when it is time to come home.15. For late-night departures you will have to check out of your room around noon. Bring a small day bag that you can keep out what you need and enjoy your last afternoon at the resort.
