Zoning By-Law Review - A council workshop, public open house and public meeting will be held this fall to review the Draft Zoning By-law. Dates will be announced via the Town Page and Town website once finalized. The Draft Zoning By-Law will be made available for public review and comment. 2017 Business Plan and Budget - Committee forwarded recommendations to the Sept 13 Council meeting to endorse, the 2017 Business Plan and Budget guiding principles. In order to transfer the Heritage Designation of the property, By-law 2011-110 must be repealed, and a new Heritage Designation By-law must be enacted. The station has historical value through its association with the Toronto York Radial Railway Company, as well as past importance of radial railways to the regional economy. UPCOMING PUBLIC MEETINGS Town and YMCA moving forward with potential Health & Active Living Plaza partnership The Town of East Gwillimbury and the YMCA of Greater Toronto have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a potential partnership at the Health & Active Living Plaza. This is the first milestone in a long-term plan for a multi- function municipal plaza, offering a variety of convenient and complimentary recreational, health, arts, culture, and community services. The plaza is projected to open once the population of the Town reaches 40,000 residents which is estimated to be by approximately 2020. Next steps will be a joint Market Study which will be used to inform future decisions regarding the nature and timing of the potential partnership with the YMCA.
