New Green Flag Towerbank are delighted that we have been awarded another Green Flag. The assessor said - I have just assessed your Green Flag Award application and I thought your application was outstanding! I am delighted to renew your Green Flag status. You will receive an official email and award pack (including flag) from Eco-Schools Scotland in 2-3 weeks but just wanted to say how impressed I was by your application.

Many thanks to all the staff, parents and children who worked so hard for this latest green flag for Towerbank.

On Saturday 15th April, I was made Gymnastic Achiever of the Month and I feel very proud! By Findlay P3B On Sunday 23rd April, I took part in another karate competition at Meadowbank. I won 3rd place for the Scottish Karate International Open and I won another medal for Kick Master. By Chloe P3B On Sunday 23rd April, I went to a rugby tournament in Musselburgh. I play for Portobello and we played matches against Haddington, Preston Lodge, Musselburgh and Heriots. We won 3 out of 4 games and at the end, we got a rugby medal. I was really excited! By Donald P3B

P1A, P1B, P1C and P2/1 were excited to use the climbing frame in the gym hall as part of our Gymnastics. “It felt like I was climbing up a rock cliff.” Dylan “I was very nervous. I don’t think it’s dangerous at all, but I was nervous at the beginning.” Sam We watched Olympic Gymnasts on the computer. We have decided that to be good at gymnastics you need strength, confidence, perseverance in your training, balance and coordination.

Comic relief bake sale

On the 24th of March, comic relief we (Stella, Ella, Molly and Miya P6) raised money for Comic Relief by doing a bake sale on the Prom. We baked muffins, biscuits, cakes and other sweet treats. By doing this, we smashed our target of £80 and raised £126.30! Afterwards, we made it onto the local news page of the Edinburgh Evening News - we were very pleased. We thank all are customers for their support.

Ella and Molly P6B

Eilish & Jennifer Wood in P6A both passed their Gymnastics Regional Grade 4 with commendation last weekend in Perth.

Both girls love gymnastics and their hard work has paid off!

Zumbathon We are delighted to let you know that this year’s Zumbathon raised an amazing £1406.59! Thanks to everyone who supported the event, bought raffle tickets and came along for a fun filled evening. A special thank you to Michael Annan of Annan Property for his generous support once again. Thanks also go to the Zumba instructors, the businesses who kindly donated raffle prizes and the school office for all their assistance with the organisation of the event. Once again thanks to everyone for making the event such a huge success. The Samba band team
