Self Guided Wedding Tour of the Farm at South Mountain

Welcome to The Farm at South Mountain! We apologize our schedules did not allow for a personal tour of the property. I hope you will find the information in this packet helpful. Once you’ve seen the property, however; please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or for further information or clarification. We have two venue locations on property. Please begin at the front of the property and start walking toward The Canopy in the Grove on the left-hand side of the pecan grove.

Once you have viewed this area, continue down the lane to the back of the property through the back parking lot towards Stone Grove.

The Canopy in the Grove Ceremony & Reception Daytime Rental Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm Evening Rental Time: 5:00pm – 10:00pm

As guests arrive they will be in awe of the beautiful serenity provided by the Farm at South Mountain with its unique Phoenix landscape of fresh green grass and towering pecan trees.

1. Parking: Parking for The Canopy is on the East side of 32nd street in the designated parking lot.

2. Ceremony

Start Time: 5:00pm Your ceremony will take place in the pecan grove spots with the stunning South Mountain as your backdrop. Say “I Do” amongst the lush green trees in this beautiful ceremony space!

Ceremony Details: o Our permanent iron arch is available for you or your florist to decorate as you would

like. o We provide wooden ceremony benches and all accessory tables needed for the

ceremony.

3. Cocktail Hour The bar location is set up underneath the Ramada with hors d’oeurves close by.

*All Alcohol at The Canopy in the Grove must be provided by The Farm at South Mountain. No outside alcohol is permitted.

4. Reception Underneath The Canopy

(Included Tables and Chairs)

Included Seating for Reception: o 60” round tables seating 8 to 10 guests o Your choice of white or black lap length linens and fruitwood padded chairs o We provide tables and chairs for up to 200 guests. Additional tables and chairs are to be

rented.

Dance Floor Options: o A popular spot to have dancing is on the flagstone, in front of the Ramada. o If your group is small enough you can leave space under the canopy for dancing!

Food: o We have several different catering packages to choose from ranging from dinner buffet

or plated dinner, all the way to dinner stations or a taco truck! o Food is cooked fresh onsite, and our catering truck will park west of The Canopy. o If you select to have a dinner buffet, this will be will be set on the west end of The

Canopy tent. Wedding Lounge: Located at the front of the property, the Wedding Lounge is the first

building on your left-hand side labeled “Skeeters.” You are welcome to use the Wedding Lounge 2.5 hours prior to the start of your wedding.

Restrooms: The restrooms for The Canopy are the two grayish blue buildings on the North, right-hand side of the pecan grove. There are strung bisto lights in the grove to create a pathway for guests to find their way in the evening. A golf cart with an attendant may be rented to assist guests to parking and the restrooms throughout the evening.

Wedding Lounge (Skeeters) Restrooms

Lighting: o 5 acres of strung bistro lights are included in the venue fee

Weather: Although bad weather is rare in Phoenix, since The Farm is an outdoor facility it’s always best to have a backup plan. In case of inclement weather: * Side walls may be attached to The Canopy tent or additional tenting can be rented. * Heaters may need to be rented during cooler months.

This concludes your tour of The Canopy Venue. Continue walking down the lane and through the back parking lot. Turn Right down the main lane through the gardens, then take a left at

our rustic flower truck. Your Ceremony will take place down the path to the right.

Stone Grove Daytime Rental Time: 9:00am – 1:00pm Evening Rental Time: 4:00pm – 10:00pm

1. Ceremony Start Time: 4:00pm

Your ceremony will take place in front of our Jasmine Arch on the North side of Stone Grove.

Ceremony Details: o Our permanent iron arch is available for you or your florist to decorate as you would

like. o We provide wooden ceremony benches and all accessory tables needed for the ceremony

Parking – Guests drive down the lane to the back parking area, and will park in our circular lot. There is additional overflow parking available if the main lot fills.

Restrooms – The restrooms are located in the white trailer just south of the Stone Grove entrance. There is also an additional restroom in the bridal lounge. Wedding Lounge – Located at the “Retreat”. This is the cottage behind the far stonewall of Stone Grove. This is also available beginning 2.5 hours prior to your event.

Reception at Stone Grove

(Included Tables and Chairs)

Included Seating for Reception: o 60” round tables seating 8 to 10 guests o Your choice of white or black lap-length linens and white bistro chairs o We provide tables and chairs for up to 200 guests. Additional tables and chairs are to

beRented if guest count is above 200.

Dancing:

o Directly on the cement patio, or a dance floor may be rented and placed in the grass.

Food: o We have several different catering packages to choose from ranging from dinner buffet or

plated dinner, all the way to dinner stations or a taco truck! o Food is cooked fresh onsite, and our catering truck will be tucked away on the south side

of the wedding suite, hidden behind the stone wall.

Bar: Located in the rustic red building attached to the cement patio: the “Urban Barn.” *Alcohol at Stone Grove must be provided by The Farm at South Mountain. No outside alcohol is permitted.

Lighting: o Strung bistro lights at Stone Grove are included in the venue fee.

Weather: Although bad weather is rare in Phoenix, since The Farm is an outdoor facility it’s always best to have a backup plan. In case of inclement weather: o Tenting can be rented for Stone Grove up to 48 hours prior to your event. o Heaters may be rented during the cooler months.

Additional Information for All Venues: o Santa Barbara Catering is the exclusive vendor for catering, staffing and rentals. o Santa Barbara Catering holds monthly wedding tastings to attend as part of your

planning process. o We allow acoustic music or DJs. DJs must be selected from our exclusive vendor list. o Our Surround Sound stereo is available for iPod hook up for an additional fee. o You are welcome to bring in any other vendors you would like! If you need suggestions,

we have a recommended vendors list. o We do not have a Wedding Coordinator on the Property. Your Venue Coordinator will

be happy to assist with venue and catering-related items on the day of your Wedding. It is also important to assign helpers from your group to take care of day-of set up décor to make sure that your wedding is set up perfectly. While your Venue Coordinator is happy to jump in and assist (time-permitting) you will want to make sure you have dedicated people from your group to handle this.

o Your team of “helpers” may arrive up to 2.5 hours before the ceremony to decorate. o Fake flower petals, confetti, wish lanterns and balloons are not allowed on property.

Candles can be used as long as they are in or on a vessel. o The music and bar MUST end by 10:00pm o A 50% deposit of venue rental is required to book a date (non-refundable). o We can host two weddings at one time at both The Canopy in the Grove and Stone

Grove. Their separate start times, parking, and staff allow for them to simultaneously occur without any issues!
