Transfer to your hotel on Lake Como this afternoon for a seven night stay. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner. Meal: (D) Overnight: Como DAY 3: Como - Bellagio Take a scenic Lake Como Cruise to one of the most famous resort towns in Italy, Bellagio. The village is characterized by century-old buildings, stone lanes and picturesque cobbled stairways filled with shops showcasing the finest Italian wares. Enjoy some time to explore Bellagio at your own pace before returning to Como. Dinner on your own. Meal: (B) Overnight: Como DAY 4: Verona After breakfast travel to Verona where a guided tour reveals that this city is second only to Rome in its number of Roman ruins. Pastel villas, built from rosso di Verona, the local pink limestone, line the cobbled streets. See the famed Romeo & Juliet Balcony that inspired Shakespeare’s tale of love gone tragically wrong. Also enjoy visit to the Verona Arena, a Roman amphitheater which is internationally famous for the large-scale opera performances given there. Dinner with your fellow travelers. Meals: (B, D) Overnight: Como DAY 5: Venice Travel to Venice, one of the most unique cities in the world built on 117 islands with 150 canals and 400 bridges. Start your Venice Tour with a boat ride to St. Mark’s Square, the most famous square in Venice to see St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace, a pink marble Gothic masterpiece containing a precious art collection, the Clock Tower and the Bridge of Sighs. Also have the quintessential Venetian experience – a Venice Gondola Ride on the canals. Later experience a Venetian glass making demonstration. The afternoon enjoy a bit of leisure time to wander through this exceptional city. Return to Como for an evening of leisure. Meal: (B) Overnight: Como DAY 6: Day at Leisure - Italian Motors & Flavors optional Enjoy the day at leisure in Como. Maybe stroll along city streets to shop and have a tasty pizzeria lunch. A full day Italian motors & flavors optional tour will be available. Travel south to Maranello and visit the Ferrari Museum. The museum is a collection of history and achievement of the famed brand. Continue and experience some of the staples of Italian cuisine. Italy’s black gold or balsamic vinegar has been produced in this region for centuries using tradition recipes. Learn how it is produced and have a chance to sample some for yourself. Later, learn about Parmigiano‐Reggiano cheese production which is also produced in the region. Return to Como for an evening of leisure. Meal: (B) Overnight: Como DAY 7: Lugano, Switzerland Travel to Lugano, Switzerland, an Italian-style city set on the edge of a bejeweled lake with views of the not-too-distant Alps.
