I want to make it clear that the Rhode-sian model of farming which was uti-
lized by the so called commercial white
farmers is not suitable for Zimbabwe
because it was based on exploitation
of cheap labourers who were barely
paid for their back breaking work. Also
the white commercial farmers used to
get financial back up from financial
institutions which our current farmers willonly dream of; therefore, we need to
embrace new ways of doing things.
Onwards with land to the indigenous
people. As Zimbabwe pushes forth with
the transition of reoccupying repos-
sessed farming land, contract farming
also referred to as out grower
schemes, will play a significant role in
bridging and enabling the farmers with
sponsors &/or markets. Contract Farm-
ing is an agricultural production system
carried out according to an agree-ment between a buyer and farmers,
which establishes conditions for the
production and marketing of a farm
product or products namely;
plants, animals and fungi. This agree-
ment is not a partnership; it is a joint
venture between two parties. The
Farmer is engaging the services of
the Contractor and this trading posi-
tion is preserved insofar as tax, VAT,
etc. are concerned. Both parties re-
tain their individual identity as farm
businesses in their own right.
There are five broad models of con-
tracting farming, depending on the
product, the resources of the spon-
sor and the intensity of the relation-
ship between farmer and sponsor
that is necessary:
The centralized model
Involves a centralized processor
and/or packer buying from a large
number of small farmers

The Role of Arts in Nation Buildingby A. Shamuyarira
This column invites anyone and everyone out thereto share their stories and opinions on the role of art
and artists in formulating policies for the future. It issad to note that our political systems tend to rele-
gate art to a position of insignificance. Examples
abound of artists who are recruited to further the
objectives of revolutions, but are discarded as irrele-
vant once those objectives are achieved.
The musician, the poet, the sculptor, the painter, the
writer - the world is what it is because they lived,
said one wise one. It is important that our people
and our governments realise that artists are a vital
force in preventing inflexibility in human affairs. They
are a source of rejuvenation. They serve as a bul-
wark against fundamentalism, stagnation, and ad-
ministrative sterility.
Art teaches us to care, to grow, to develop, to
adapt, to overcome, to nurture, to protect, to foster
and to cherish. It helps us to achieve our full human-
ness. It invites us to laugh, to reflect, to cry, to strive,
to persevere. It calls on us to rejoice and uplift our
spirits. Above all, it inspires us to rise from a position
of subservience It is hoped that through contribu-tions from all of you, dear readers, we will be able to
come up with a concrete position on the role artists
should play in the future of our society. It is argued
by some that the state should even jealously pro-
tect and support its artists, even though there
should always be a healthy tension between a seri-
ous artist and his government.
Although your contributions may be universal in ref-
erence it is recommended to pay particular atten-
tion to art in Zimbabwe. Articles will be edited in line
with Thoughts of the Future values. WE look forward
to reading your articles.
Look out for the next issue of this Newsletter for the
first article from yours truly. It will set the tone for fu-
ture contributions to this most exciting and enlight-
ening column. Think Art.

THOUGHTS OF THE FUTURE
How does teaching our children
religions that were forced on our
fore-fathers by the oppressor
empower them? How has reli-
gion, mainly Christianity ad-
vanced us as a people?
Would not it be better to teach
our children knowledge to ena-
ble them to unleash their poten-
tial for free growth?
How can someone who doesnt
treat us right teach us right
about our Creator?
As parents, we need to reconsid-er the beliefs or religions we expose
our children to. Our children are our
future and what we teach them
determines the future we will have.
In Africa, many children are forced
to go to church every Sunday by
their parents, forced to attend bi-
ble studies, and if a Catholic
forced to participate in alter ser-
vices. It is unfortunate that the chil-
dren are not being equipped with
knowledge to make choices that
are good for them. Church is man-
datory in most homes, it is not a
thing of choice.
Most religions teach people to look
outside for somebody else to do for
them what they should be doing for
themselves. How does one confess-
ing their sins to a priest help them
become a better person? Wouldnt
it be of more benefit to know things
that make things work successfully
in life, rather than worshiping some-thing or someone you have not
seen or heard from? Most chil-
dren do not take church seri-
ously because they know it isa lie. They look at how their
parents conduct themselves
by not being in compliance
with what they preach. Chil-
dren learn what we do rather
than what we say. Some peo-
ple, especially in Africa, may
never experience the FREE-
DOM that comes with an
awakening from spiritual slum-
ber. Too many are still caught
up in this bondage! Our peo-ple must be properly informed
regarding the religions they
blindly follow which came
from our oppressors!
Below is an interesting point
from someone on Tee Akins FB
page:
Belief in gods is passed to
children before they have the
intellectual wherewithal to
question their elders. Like yourcuisine, your traditions and
your values, belief in gods be-
come a part of your being. They
become axiomatic beliefs ratherthan the conclusion of rigorous
intellectual inquiry.
The white missionaries really
raped the crap out of Africa
when they flooded the continent
with their fairy tale bibles and reli-
gious indoctrination several years
ago. Whats even more intriguing
is that we practice Christianity
more in Africa than those who
invented it or brought it to us.
For example, in Africa, Nigeria to
be exact, many Catholics attend
mass at least 3 times a week, fol-
lowed by house fellowship, and
prayer meetings, not to forget
catechism classes - this is their
regular routine. This means major-
ity of African Christians spend
more than half of their life wor-
shiping an imaginary God.
They invest little to no time to-
wards realistically developingtheir own self their intellect is

Race Relations into the Futureby Charles TMJ Dube
In this instalment we will attempt totouch on race relations and eventuallymove to ethnicity, nepotism and re-
gionalism.
My hypothesis is that our history was no
accident and that the future and pros-
perity of Zimbabwe lies in the positive
harnessing and rehabilitation of all the
historical forces and elements that
have driven this country to where it is
today, whether in a positive or nega-
tive way. In this respect, all races with
their ethnic divides, who have consid-
ered this country their home at onetime or another, exiled or here domi-
ciled need to have or revive their sense
of belonging and loyalty to the coun-
try. They need to do this from the
depth of their hearts, as patriotic citi-
zens, prepared to defend the wellbe-
ing of their nation from internal and
external threats at all fronts in this glob-
al village, independent of the sense of
8:28) We know that in all things God
works for good with those who love
him, those whom he has called ac-
cording to his purpose). The pre-
colonial natives of this land knew God
and gave Him His place, and that de-
spite that they could have run short of
His glory.
Race relations in this country have a
history, which was translated into prop-erty relations and used as an instru-
ment to maintain as superstructure ex-
ploitative property and race relations
including in the administration of the
state, democratic and human rights.
The Shona have a saying, Dindingwe
rinofara kana richikweva rimwe kana
iro rokwehwa roti mavara angu azare
vhu (In a typical role play, a cheetah
will get maximum joy and satisfaction
from dragging another cheetah in the
mud, but when it becomes its turn tobe dragged it bemoans that its beauti-
ful colours are getting soiled).
Both races have had an oppor-
tunity to drag the other in the
mud and now is the time for all
as nationals to laugh it over and
move forward as one united na-
tion. This can only be possible
through employing Kingdom
principles
Whether we like it or not, CecilJohn Rhodes is one of the
founding fathers of the modern
Zimbabwean nation. If he would
have extended the borders to
the Atlantic Ocean, or Chimoyo
in Mozambique, that is how far
this nation we call Zimbabwe
could be stretching today. That
is our history and we cannot ex-
orcise it out of our memoirs as a
nation.
In establishing the then Rhode-sia, he and his kith and kin had
their own excesses, which
we cannot erase from the
annals of our history. And
yet in accordance with
Kingdom principles, we
should, like Joseph, the
Premier of Ancient Egypt in
discourse to his brothers be
able to say you meant it for
evil and yet it was part of
Gods scheme of things asHe meant it for good to
save many. There is

colonials looted about 70
000 head of cattle from theNdebeles, over 30 000 dis-
bitterness, frustration or anger, justified or unjustified, they might
have had one time or another in the history of this nation. This
calls for a complete understanding of the history of this nation
and all the factors that have contributed to our current state as
it were. This is further driven by the Kingdom principle, which

As We Think So Are Weby Livingstone Bvumbi
Who do you think is responsible foreverything that is taking place in your
life, whether it be good or bad? If
you could have things go your way,
how would you like your life to be
like? What type of experiences
would you like to have? It is a shock-
ing fact that most of us are unaware
that our life experiences and circum-
stances are direct results of our own
thinking. When we look around us,
everything we see and have is a
manifestation of somebody elses
thoughts or ideas. There is an idea or
purpose behind everything that ex-
ists. For example vehicles, houses,
furniture, clothes, computers, phones
etc., they all came from the mind of
somebody as an idea or thought.
These thoughts could not be seen
until somebody produced them
physically. The more we grasp
this idea that everything is a re-
sult of thought, the more we will
realize we have control over our
circumstances and everything
else that takes place in our lives.
We literally are what we think.
Everything that happens in our
lives is a direct result of the
thoughts we entertain and
choices we make. This means
we are the sum total of all that
we have thought and done. We
are always thinking, even when
we are sleeping which is why
we dream. Even when we de-
cide to stop ourselves from
thinking, we are still thinking just
by having that thought.
Since our circumstances are exter-
nal expressions of our own
thoughts, this means we have to-
tal control of our circumstances
by controlling our thinking. As a
man thinks so is he. When a manthinks right or positively, his circum-
stances and life experiences will
also be positive and the reverse is
true. Positive thoughts are those
thoughts that are in agreement
with life or nature and promote
peace and harmony. Positive
thinking can only produce positive
results. This is like saying one can
only get apples from an apple
tree, or reap wheat after sowing
wheat. The principle is easily un-derstood in nature and it also ap-
plies, even more so, to our own
thinking.
Right is that which can be proven
and is in agreement with life and
nature. When our thoughts are
factual and produce results that
are in harmony with nature then
we are thinking right and operat-
ing righteously. To become right-
eous we have to be taught theformulas of thinking accurately or
operating on thoughts based sole-
ly on facts (that which can be prov-
en). We have to apply this ability to
think factually to produce thoughts
that are geared to promote life.
There are people proficient at think-
ing factually however use that abil-ity to produce things that are
against life. We have to develop
the love for Truth or right and a will
to be in harmony with Life and pro-
mote peace. By doing this we will
be amazed at how many hands of
similar thinking people who will
come to aid us in accomplishing
our noble goals in life. When we live
a life to serve others and making life
pleasurable for all, we will also pro-
duce similar experiences and cir-cumstances for ourselves. We at-
tract to ourselves that which we
constantly think about, be it good
or bad. Since we are always think-
ing, we might as well think right and
positively so that we may produce
right and positive things, situations
and experiences for ourselves.
When we analyze our condition as
a people, we witness many of us in
circumstances we are not fond of,and would like to change them.
Our condition is a reflection
of our collective thinking. To
change our condition as a
whole we have to change
our thinking as individuals first. When we start thinking right
as individuals, we will spread
that thinking through what
we say, do and produce to
those around us, and soon
we will all be operating on
the same mindset based on
facts and that promotes life
and peace. Charity begins at
home. What people think
and do in their homes is what
they will go and do outside
and affect the world the
same way. When we think
and do things right in our
homes, we will also take right-
eousness outside and pro-
duce a peaceful, prosperous
and harmonious world. Let
each of us be the change
that we want to see and ex-perience in the world.

THOUGHTS OF THE FUTURE
subdued.
This is a reality that children in most Chris-
tian homes have to contend with. Do we
need this type of indoctrination that teach-
es us to look outside of ourselves for power
that is already in us? Everything we pray for,
another man produces it for us. So wouldnt
it be better for us to learn to think so that we
can produce for ourselves what we want
and need instead of expecting it to fall
from heaven? Religious dogma has
stripped us of our power to think and solve
our own problems ourselves and we have
our own history to prove this. Our condition
as a people has worsened and our de-
pendency on other people has intensified
as more and more of us became religious.
When are we going to wake up and realize
these religions are not doing us any good
as a people? In the US, Ive noticed that
the majority of those that attend church
services are Black people. We need to start
questioning the existence and effect of reli-
gion on the continent if we truly want to
gain more knowledge and solve our chal-
lenges.
African parents in church wailing, jumping and screaming
for some so called god to save them, while their lives deteri-
orate further. -Teekay AkinHow is this practice helping us advance as a people?
Below is the message attached to the above photo
by Teekay Akin, informing the African people:
This is just sickening and sad.
It brings tears to my eyes every time I see such.
An entire generation after generation wasted, en-
slaved and bound in their ignorance, folly and as-
sumption of knowledge!
Wailing, jumping and screaming for some so calledgod to save them, while their lives deteriorate further.
While other races are getting work done, solving their
problems and developing their cities and lives, ours
are in churches and mosques, crying and begging
the gods they have been given by their oppressor for
miracles.
Just sad! BUT MARK THESE WORDS! SOONER, SOONER!
This shall be a thing of the past in our lands! WE SHALL
RID OUR LANDS OF THESE CANCERS!!! THE TIME HAS
COME!
A series of comments followed after Teekay Akin
posted the above photo, and some interesting
opinions were shared, some of which are:
Opinionist 1: 100% agree, this is totally tragic. Reli-
gion, superstition and magic acts like an invisible
rope holding back entire nations in Africa. While
Europeans are running away from superstition fast
(and even the USA now has a rapidly growing
atheist minority), Africans seem to be increasingly
embracing it. It is pitiful and heart-breaking to seepictures like this.
Opinionist 2: How many square metres is the land
they are standing on & calculate how many local
industries/employment that space could accom-
modate only if they gave Common Sense a litle
chance...
Opinionist 3: If the mothers are brain-washed
then the continent will surely be brain-washed too.
Have you noticed that all eyes are closed, they
are all blinded by darkness.

tributed among themselves under the supervision
of a loot committee, with the BSA Company itself
getting over 35 000 head. With racial statutes the
colonials not only appropriated the best lands to
themselves but expropriated livestock through
imposed destocking and buyers markets during
which they bought our cattle at their preferredprices, when we did not intend selling them, but
had to sell because they said so. They also did this
as part of Empire and in a spirit of conquest. This
was all despite that God had given Zimbabwe to
its own natives as part of their inheritance: (Deu
32:8) The Most High assigned nations their lands;
he determined where peoples should live. He as-
signed to each nation a heavenly being, (Deu
32:9) but Jacob's descendants he chose for him-
self.
Not that Jacobs descendants were any special, but just for His purpose in the destiny of man, and
that destiny, salvation through looking up to the
hanging Christ. And yet there is one race that has
disrupted Gods human settlement plan and oc-
cupied more than half the world to themselves,
displacing and exterminating natives of those
lands in the process. We thank God that He has
spared us, may be due to the remnant of the
faith among us. When the likes of Chaminuka
preached peace and harmony among us, if we
were to be spared from the cruel subjugation by a
race without knees (in reference to long trousers
they would put on) that would come, we did not
listen to them, we even murdered him for such
warning.
They came as conquerors and we should under-
stand them when they think that they are superior
to us, and when they show some hang-ups to that
colonial mentality. We can only rehabilitate themwith love. When we say to them let us share the
resources we have as a nation and they cry foul,
we should still understand where they are coming
from. When they are understood more than us in
the capitals of the world and especially those that
belong to their race, we should equally under-
stand that selective amnesia. When most of them
immigrated en masse at the dawn of independ-
ence that should not surprise us. We should be
aware that there are still those who genuinely be-
lieve that who you are and who you can be boils
down to the colour of your skin. These are disabledpeople among us, and, in our culture, we do not
despise the disabled. We love them and accept
them as our social responsibility. We should be
aware that even at the international level, there are
those who take race as a religion and have invest-
ed enormously for world domination along racial
lines, and that not for the chosen races, but as an
instrument not for their own evil social agendas.
These are not small boys and they have gigantic
spiritual forces that have been able to engage GodHimself in battle. It is therefore no wonder that rac-
ism is not only demonic and spiritual evil, but an af-
front to Gods wisdom in creating us in various
shades and physical attributes.
While we fought for our liberation from victimisation
by the evil forces of racism, we owe it to God to
hold on to our whites as assets to this nation. Any
white therefore who was born in this country should
be given the right to belong, and so should any
who can trace one of his ancestors to being born
here. Some of them could have joined those they

In conclusion, this is the time for all to
know the real Truth. This is the time to
know who we are, and our relation-
ship to all that exists. This takes accu-
rate thinking to understand. We then
need to apply that understanding toproduce a world that we want to live
in. A world that is peaceful and in har-
mony with all that exists. Our children
need to learn the reality of Life more
so from what we think and do as
adults rather than by indoctrinating
them with belief systems we got from
our oppressors. Beliefs that have not
worked to advance us as a people. A
new generation is rising they are
powerful, knowledgeable, and intel-
lectually gifted to distinguish folly fromreality. The revolution has begun.
this whole concept of religion was/is a
fallacy, nothing concrete, just empty?
I always say, should your 5 year old
son begin to query you about the
contents of the bible, thats where our
foolishness would become evident.
Because obviously the answers
wouldnt appease his conscience. I
guess all youd say to him is just be-
lieve son, if you dont, hell is guaran-
teed of which youre not even con-
vinced of yourself, yet as a parent
and with this you subdue the childs
ability to reason as a human. Typical!

heaven? You truly believe, quite sin-
cerely, that youve done anything to
deserve that? Or just some emotions
you display towards an imaginary
character will earn you that.
Dont be afraid, break free, its
quite relieving!
Opinionist 6: The churches are
silent on the issues that are affect-
ing the African community. It is an
evil, wicked and corrupt institu-
tion that is geared to keep us as
eternal slaves, only this time we
are not on the cotton field plan-
tation in the south or the sugar
plantation in the caribbean. Or

deadly enslavement is the spiritu-al enslavement of our African
Mind, where the enemy has be-

Zimbabwe is lucky to have differentsoil types & climate zones. For exam-
ple; in Mashonaland East specifically
Mutoko & Murehwa, market garden-
ing is very popular. They produce a
variety of vegetables; cabbages, to-
matoes. The farmers output can be
increased by induced capital by
sponsors. Very little funding can be
sourced by a group of locals or Dias-
poras and identified farmers can be
approached through agriculture ex-
tension officers (AEO). This could be
done in a variety of ways; farmers
could be vetted for potential con-
tract farming by agriculture extension
officers (Madhumeni) who will liaise
between them and identified spon-
sors. In addition, Thoughts of the Fu-
ture (TOFT), is a registered Trust PVT

also facilitates liaison between the
AEO and investors to assist farmers
reach their targeted markets & agri-
culture requirements. They source out
investments and/or sponsorship. TOTF
will guarantee that by ensuringthat those community projects
do bear fruits by directing pro-
jects and marketing of produc-
es. Investors will be investing in
community projects in form of
equipment, input and will be
guaranteed of return of their
investments. In Zimbabwes
current situation, we realize
that the demand is greater
than the supply where food
import is still high. This guaran-
tees an available market. Also,
note that the level of involve-
ment of the sponsor in produc-
tion can vary from a minimum
where, perhaps, only the cor-
rect type of seed is provided,
to the opposite extreme where
the company provides land
preparation, seedlings, agro-
chemicals and even harvesting
services. The extent of the
sponsor's involvement in pro-
duction is rarely fixed and may
poultry, dairy. Products often require
a high degree of processing, such as
tea or vegetables for canning or
freezing
Is vertically coordinated, with quota
allocation and tight quality control
Sponsors' involvement in production
varies from minimal input provision to
the opposite extreme where the
sponsor takes control of most produc-
tion aspects
The nucleus estate model
Is a variation of the centralized mod-
el where the sponsor also manages a
central estate or plantation
The central estate is usually used to
guarantee throughput for the pro-
cessing plant but is sometimes used
only for research or breeding purpos-
es
Is often used with resettlement
or transmigration schemes
Involves a significant provision of
material and management inputs
The multipartite model
May involve a variety of organi-
zations, frequently including statu-
tory bodies
Can develop from the central-
ized or nucleus estate models,
e.g. through the organization of
farmers into cooperatives or the
involvement of a financial institu-tion
The informal model
Is characterized by individual
entrepreneurs or small com-
panies
Involves informal production
contracts, usually on a sea-sonal basis
Often requires government
support services such as re-
search and extension
Involves greater risk of extra-
contractual marketing
The intermediary model
Involves sponsor in subcon-
tracting linkages with farmers
to intermediariesThere is a danger that the
sponsor loses control of pro-
duction and quality as well as
prices received by farmers
depend on its requirements ata particular time or its financial
circumstances.
Often, the operational struc-
ture of projects changes over
time. Successful individual in-
formal developers may ex-
pand their operations into ac-
tivities that eventually evolve
into the centralized category.
Any successful small-scale de-
veloper can grow into a multi-
million dollar business, supply-
ing fresh vegetables to local
supermarkets and frozen vege-
tables for export, with the pro-
duce originating from hun-
dreds of contracted farmers.

that it is possible to indeed find
one another. It is not a question
of colour.
As we do our constitution, let us
accept that we have our
whites with a right to belong to
this land by virtue of having
contributed to its history. They
exploited us, but showed uswhat a modern state should be
like in the process. It could
have been painful, but we
should pick from the Kingdom
principle of giving the other
cheek. It is not literal, but refers
to being magnanimous to
those who have ill-treated you
before.
At independence in 1980, we
should have put paid to the
punishment from God for dis-
easily be rekindled by now, 30+ years
later and that goes even for those
who have been angered was allocat-
ed to whites to practice extensive ag-
riculture, Natural Reby the reposses-
sion of the farms by the natives of this
land.
In retaking the land, the pronounced
idea on paper at least was to address
past inequalities and inefficiencies in
land use & allocation, but we could
very easily substitute that by replacing
past injustices with inequalities and
inefficiencies camouflaged in colour
and race. For instance, one of the
arguments against the racially biasedland tenure system was that while
Natural regions I to III, the best land
mostly suitable for intensive agricul-
ture regions IV and V, best suitable for
extensive agriculture was allocat-
ed to Africans to practise inten-
sive agriculture. 67% of commer-
cial farms (whites only) was as-
cribed to grazing land, of which
3% was in Natural Region I, 27% in
Region II, 16% in Region III, 25% in
Region IV and 29% in Region V. If
we are not very careful, we might
not address the problem of ineffi-
cient agro-regional specialisa-
tions as we get preoccupied with
race and not people. This would
of course be dependent on the
motive of the land grabs, that is
whether the driving force was the
creation of nouve whites or
the addressing of old inequalities
and inefficiencies. Farm sizes
have in all fairness, egalitarianism
and justice to reflect the produc-
tivity of the land to which
they are located and not fol-
low the excessive colonial
relics of the colonial might, or
else history will again adminis-
ter justice to the landed Afri-
cans, the same way it has
done to the whites at the turn
of this century. Those who
have by their stars managed
to get land, must voluntarily
hold on to what they can effi-
ciently utilise and questions of
equity must not be deferred
to future generations by the
greed of those who have
been advantaged by their
networking with the current
ruling elite.
Privilege begets pride, arro-
honouring our own prophetsand for not obeying the heav-
enly being assigned to our na-
tion. Our God is indeed a jeal-
ousy God and punishes those
who do not obey His com-
mandments.
Our whites must realise that
they are prone to being ex-
ploited and being turned into
quislings by virtue of their col-
our and the insecurity which
goes with their minority status. They could easily be bought
off, betray their country and
act against its interest. Those of
us who worked in the national
treasury at independence are
aware that most of the loans
which we owe to the Paris
Club and the Breton woods
institutions were mostly to but-
tress white business and in the
process emasculate its inde-
pendence from internationalcapital. That was a successful

Race Relations into the Future
Race Relations into the Future
do not despise the Egyptians; youonce lived in their land.
(Deu 1:16)"At that time I instructed
them, 'Listen to the disputes that
come up among your people. Judge
every dispute fairly, whether it con-
cerns only your own people or in-
volves foreigners who live among you.
(Deu 1:17)Show no partiality in your
decisions; judge everyone on the
same basis, no matter who they are.
Do not be afraid of anyone, for the
decisions you make come from God.
If any case is too difficult for you,
bring it to me, and I will decide it.'
piece of experimentation for the cap-
ital which had been established in
Zimbabwe was not Eurocentric, but
settler capitalism, which was also in-
ward looking.
Let our constitution give all who were
born here or have a parent or ances-
tor born here be given the right to be
called indigenous for purposes of giv-
ing an inheritance among us, includ-
ing the right to own some land, and
not all land. Our whites must be given
freedom of association even if it
means getting into business with other
whites and as rational beings they will
get into business partnerships withtheir black counterparts if they see
advantage in doing so. They should
not be forced into doing so by legisla-
tion. Our land might best be owned
by the state on behalf of us all to
give future generations leverage
over how they manage their re-
sources and to avoid problems
such as were seeded by the colo-
nial state.
Because we were a subjugated
nation, a feeling of inferiority sunk
in our psyches over generations
remains a theoretical possibility in
our dealings with our whites or
even in our international dealings
with them. Let us therefore face
them with the humility of Christ,
Love of God and confidence of
Holy Spirit within us.
Our people have dispersed far
and wide among the nations,
including to the land of our for-
mer oppressors. We owe it to God
to handle our foreigners well.
It is no accident that we have
been spread to the ends of
the earth, including our white
brothers and sisters who were
running away from majority
rule and land repossession. It
is also no accident that we
could have made the mis-
takes we made here and
there. All we need is just to
now address these mistakes in
love and we will be a force to
reckon with and be the head
and not the tail in the com-
munion of nations.
To my fellow nationals, I paste
from the book. (Deu 23:7) "Do
not despise the Edomites;
they are your relatives. And

What is Americas Interest in All This ?
by OutSpoken Goto Mato
For the past five years, we have witnessedcountless revolutions in the code name
democracy and the vocalist of this code isAmerica and her allies Britain, France and
others. In gangster fashion, these countries
have managed to blind the whole world. Re-
cently, Gadhafi was hunted, murdered and
condemned for atrocities that the very same
people who killed him exercised on him.
Many questions are still lingering in the minds
of even the ordinary people of different na-
tionalities. Why is America always involved,
they want to know? Why are the other na-
tions not coming together and resist this
common enemy?
Syria has been the scene of unrest and the
American government is said to be directly
funding the militants or terrorists. The funny
part of it is, the same terrorists that they are
funding in Syria are the ones that they claim
to fight against in Iraq and Afghanistan, fun-
ny isnt it. Soon, if other powerful states like
China, Russia and now Iran do not intervene,
then Assad is going the Gadhafi way. Just
recently, Obama and his allies already rec-
ognized the Syrian Coalition Opposition Partyas legitimate, much to the consternation of
world observers.
Iran is accused of acquiring nuclear chemicals,
which they rightfully insist is for power generating
and for peace purposes. Why is the American Gov-
ernment afraid of Iran yet they have loads of nucle-
ar bombs on this earth, and they are the only ones
who used it in Japan?
The ripple effects of these policies have far reach-
ing effects. They even come right down to affect us
in Southern Africa. Recently there were rumors of
instability in Mozambique and it is clear the same
people are the ones who are promoting instability.
Their system seems to thrive on fueling divisions and
Southern Africa is no exception. Who knows, their
aim might be to destabilize activities at Marange
Diamond Mines, or to stifle Zimbabwes land redistri-
bution exercise among other interests.
How can The American government foster democ-
racy in other states yet they cannot uphold it in their
own land? The gospel of Democracy they are
preaching is democracy according to whose mak-
ing and whose standards? Theirs seems to be
demon crazy instead .
We can only guard against the machinations of big
capital by uniting among ourselves and establishing
economic freedom through ownership of the
means of production.

Title: Our Land, Our Gold and Our Blood
Artwork by Lekau Matsena
About the Artist
I'm from a township in Tembisa, East Rand, Ekurhuleni. Studied at Johannesburg Art Gal-
lery and Artist Proof Studio. Currently I teach visual arts at Jiyana Secondary School and
coordinate art projects focused on the development of young people within my com-
munity. I'm a proud owner of an entity called Art.nexus!
Synopsys
The piece is my fraught reaction or rather my dismay after the massacre of Afrikan miners
couple of months ago in Lonmin, Marikana, South Africa. One thing is pellucid to an Afri-
kan man, ever since time immemorial is that; we are the lowest race in the face of hu-
manity and yet possess an incomprehensible intellect that compels the enemy to be
wanting to wipe us off the face of the UNIVERSE.
You see, we are in a hole as a people, gloomy, lost in obscurity. We toil the farms, mines,
constructions (the hardest labours) etcour lives are that of servitude and nothing more
or less. Afrikan man, we are in a war, a war that eliminated our fore-fathers and fathers
and even our GODs!
Now its up to us, to take the cattle back to their kraal!
