ROOF COATING SYSTEMS

Liquid-applied waterproofing is the fastest growing sector in the European roofing market. This intelligent coatings technology has become fully established as a viable solution for both new build and roof refurbishment projects.

The Tor Coatings range of cold, liquid-applied waterproofing coating systems is designed to provide long-term protection to flat or pitched roofs.

The range of flat roof waterproofing systems offers warm (insulated), inverted, green and conventional solutions utilising the Elastaseal system; providing up to 25 years’ protection (independently tested and verified by the British Board of Agrément - BBA). Our warm and inverted systems deliver compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations by improving the thermal efficiency of the roof.

For flat roof refurbishment projects Elastaseal systems can be applied over the majority of failing traditional roof membranes including felt, asphalt and single-ply.

On new build, Elastaseal can be used over concrete, screeded or metal deck designs, delivering a durable waterproofing membrane. The significant weight saving delivered over

traditional roofing materials - such as asphalt - affords tremendous design flexibility to architects.

Being cold in nature, there are no hot works involved in the installation of the coating system, meaning a property can remain in use throughout. The coating itself forms a joint-free membrane which encapsulates the entire roof - including any plant and protrusions - and forms a breathable waterproof barrier, protecting the building and its contents.

For pitched roofs our Raincoat™ system provides flexible, durable, lasting protection for up to 10 years before first full maintenance over a wide variety of substrates.

BALCONY AND WALKWAY SYSTEMS

The Tordeck™ range of long-life waterproof coating systems is designed for the refurbishment of balconies, walkways and staircases. The systems can be applied to asphalt and concrete to deliver hard wearing slip-resistant finishes, designed to waterproof, protect and enhance. A fast curing system is available for communal walkways allowing for minimal disruption during installation.

STAIR AND LANDING COATINGS

Tortread™ provides instant slip-resistant protection to stair treads and landings. These moulded GRP covers are supplied preformed for easy mechanical fixing.

Available in a range of colours and nosings compliant with the guidelines set out in the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995. For ease of installation, Tortread™ products are available in bespoke sizes.

CLADDING COATING SYSTEMS

High performance refurbishment coating systems are available for many types of architectural cladding. Torclad™ MC and Raincoat™ Cladding Finish have been specifically designed to provide a high performance and attractive finish for the refurbishment, decoration and protection of new or weathered vertical sheet cladding, profiled metal sheet roofs, roof edge trims and cappings and roof edge cladding systems.

Products can be tinted to match colours from the RAL / BS and NCS colour standards - ideal for matching corporate colours on commercial properties.

ANTI-GRAFFITI COATING SYSTEMS

The Torlife™ TP system has been specifically developed to provide a permanent anti-graffiti finish for many types of surface, providing a seamless, enamel-like surface, enabling easy removal of graffiti, grease and other contaminants.

It is available in a range of RAL / BS and NCS colours and also as a clear transparent lacquer to protect and preserve the appearance of brick, render, cladding and natural stonework.

Every facet of the external building envelope can be protected with Tor products. Our roof coating systems provide up to 30 years’ guaranteed waterproof protection, meaning a building’s occupants and contents are shielded from water ingress. Our cladding coating systems and exterior wall coatings provide protection to the existing substrate while rejuvenating the appearance of the building , whilst our slip-resistant balcony and walkway coatings promote maximum safety for pedestrian traffic.

FIRE RETARDANT COATINGS

Tor Coatings is the UK market leader in fire retardant coatings for communal areas and fire escapes within buildings. We offer Class 0 and Class 1 systems, which are recognised by the world’s leading independent fire testing body. Our flagship product, Torrex™ Flameshield Ultimate, delivers Class 0 performance and protection against graffiti in just three coats; upgrading the fire performance of previously-painted surfaces. Our Torlife™ Ultimate and Duraclean™ systems are designed for new, bare or stripped surfaces and also deliver fire performance up to Class 0. Our comprehensive range helps building owners, architects and professional specifiers meet the requirements of Section B2 of the Building Regulations and compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (RRFSO) 2005.

HYGIENE COATING SYSTEMS

The Tor range of easy-clean specialist coatings is specifically designed for use in hygiene-sensitive environments. Torlife™ hygienic coating systems provide extremely hard wearing, long lasting, easily cleaned surfaces. The reinforced fibreglass scrim systems are designed to withstand harsh cleaning schedules, in many different environments. The Duraclean™ coating system offers a tough hygienic surface with an eggshell finish. The active fungicide in the product resists the growth of mould and bacteria - for internal use only.

FLOOR COATING SYSTEMS

We offer a comprehensive range of specialist hard wearing coating systems designed for the protection and decoration of industrial and commercial floors. Additionally, we offer line marking paint. Our Tortread™ SP floor coating system is single-pack, light duty floor paint that offers an easy to apply, cost effective, surface. Torcure™ MC floor systems are a range of single-pack, moisture-cured polyurethane floor coatings that are quick-drying, chemical and abrasion resistant and provide high durability in moderately aggressive environments. We also offer several two-pack solvent free, high build, medium/heavy-duty epoxy resin systems that provide long life seamless finishes with excellent oil, chemical and wear resistance.

PAINT STRIPPING SYSTEMS

Torstrip™ is a range of high performance paint stripping systems specifically developed for the removal of multiple layers of both conventional and two-component paint finishes from walls, floors, ceilings and soffits. The product is available in solvent- and water-based formats. Also available in the range is Torstrip™ Wash Down Agent - a special solution for the washing down of previously painted or stripped surfaces prior to the application of paint systems.

Our range of internal coating systems provides safety and protection to building interiors by delivering high performance, intelligent surfaces.
