Hi

1. What is Context Clue?
Context clue is a comprehension strategy where you use clues (hints) given in a text to define meanings of unfamiliar words (words that are new to you).
• For example, Tommy wanted to buy a new car. At first he didn’t know what colour to choose. Then he looked up at the clear, sunny sky so he chose blue. He wondered if the lighter tone would suit him.
• Now, to define the word tone, lets look for clues.
• First, what is the word tone referring to? Tommy’s car.
• What colour is Tommy’s car? Blue
• So now we can determine the meaning of the word tone. Tone refers to the shade or quality of the colour of the car Tommy chose.

Narrative – Science Fiction
1. What is a science fiction?A story dealing with the impact of science on society or individuals or having scientific factor as an essential orienting component.
For example: The movie “Bumble Bee” where cars have human traits and a sense of being alien in a strange world. They can talk, fight, think and use technology like trackers and inbuilt armory. This type of movies are called science fiction. They tell a science based story.
