The new Franke campaign brings creativity and ef- fortlessness to the industry. Eight internationally re- nowned artists depict the world of experiences with Franke products in inspiring illustrations. Franke aims to make everyday life a little less ordinary and provide its customers with perfect support in their daily lives with its products. Already when purchasing a prod- uct, buyers imagins how they will use it, where they will put it and how it will give them the most joy. For instance, one can sense the delicious smell of the cake slowly escaping the oven – or the coffee business operator imagines satisfied customers enjoying their cappuccino in the morning. A future is depicted where the new prod- uct makes work easier, increases well-being or improves sales. This is how Franke creates worlds fuelled by the power of imagination. The new Make It Wonderful brand campaign turns the images in peoples minds into tangible pictures. Using doodles, it focuses on products and people in a playful manner. Such doodles are fully in line with our nature. We often scribble our ideas on a piece of paper, thereby creating imaginative structures. In Make It Wonderful, Franke introduces more effortlessness, humor, creativity and inspiration to the industry. After all, dry products in sterile spaces hardly evoke emotional moments of everyday life in customers. Renowned artists from around the world A large number of illustrators from all around the world was available for the brand campaign. Franke consciously opted for artists with hand-drawn illustrations and an emotional, natural style. Gyro, a London-based agency, drew up a shortlist of 35 favorites from the 120 candi- dates. These artists’ work was then jointly assessed. Fi- nally, eight renowned illustrators were chosen. Depending on their style, the artists were assigned to the various divisions. With sample sketches, the artists were shown what statements and ideas needed to be con- veyed by Make It Wonderful. They were then granted any freedom they desired, provided they stuck to the one requirement: Make It Wonderful! In no time at all, authen- tic and natural illustrations were created that perfectly embodied Make It Wonderful. The illustrations can now be used in various ways. They can adorn business cards, embellish packaging, be used in advertising or be print- ed as bumper stickers. There is no limit to the possible applications. Make It Wonderful strapline drawn in doodle style In addition to their illustrations, all artists also drew a Make It Wonderful strapline that may only be used with the matching illustration. However, if the strapline is used without illustration, it can be used freely. All these straplines stand for playfulness and effortlessness. This also became clear when the neutral strapline was created for the claim. When visiting the Gyro agency, Nina Pieper drew a doodle for Make It Wonderful. Nina Pieper, a member of the Artemis Board of Directors and daughter of Artemis CEO Michael Pieper studied fashion design in Munich, is the founder and owner of a Swiss fashion accessories chain and has worked for Tom Tailor Hamburg, Jean Yu New York and Yoh Atelier de Couture Zurich. Her sketch suits the cam- paigns style perfectly and can be used wherever prod- uct images are displayed.  Top illustrators for Make It Wonderful

The new Franke campaign brings creativity and ef-fortlessness to the industry. Eight internationally re-nowned artists depict the world of experiences with Franke products in inspiring illustrations.

Franke aims to make everyday life a little less ordinary and provide its customers with perfect support in their daily lives with its products. Already when purchasing a prod-uct, buyers imagins how they will use it, where they will put it and how it will give them the most joy. For instance, one can sense the delicious smell of the cake slowly escaping the oven – or the coffee business operator imag ines satisfied customers enjoying their cappuccino in the morning. A future is depicted where the new prod-uct makes work easier, increases well-being or improves sales. This is how Franke creates worlds fuelled by the power of imagination.

The new Make It Wonderful brand campaign turns the images in people’s minds into tangible pictures.

Renowned artists from around the worldA large number of illustrators from all around the world was available for the brand campaign. Franke consciously opted for artists with hand-drawn illustrations and an emotional, natural style. Gyro, a London-based agency,

drew up a shortlist of 35 favorites from the 120 candi-dates. These artists’ work was then jointly assessed. Fi-nally, eight renowned illustrators were chosen.

Depending on their style, the artists were assigned to the various divisions. With sample sketches, the artists were shown what statements and ideas needed to be con-veyed by Make It Wonderful. They were then granted any freedom they desired, provided they stuck to the one re quirement: Make It Wonderful! In no time at all, authen-tic and natural illustrations were created that perfectly embodied Make It Wonderful. The illustrations can now be used in various ways. They can adorn business cards, embellish packaging, be used in advertising or be print-ed as bumper stickers. There is no limit to the possible applications.

Make It Wonderful strapline drawn in doodle styleIn addition to their illustrations, all artists also drew a Make It Wonderful strapline that may only be used with

the matching illustration. However, if the strapline is used without illustration, it can be used freely. All these straplines stand for playfulness and effortlessness. This also became clear when the neutral strapline was created for the claim. When visiting the Gyro agency, Nina Pieper drew a doodle for Make It Wonderful. Nina Pieper, a member of the Artemis

Board of Directors and daughter of Artemis CEO Michael Pieper studied fashion design in Munich, is the founder and owner of a Swiss fashion accessories chain and has worked for Tom Tailor Hamburg, Jean Yu New York and Yoh Atelier de Couture Zurich. Her sketch suits the cam-paigns style perfectly and can be used wherever prod-uct images are displayed.

Victo NgaiI was born in Hong Kong and traveled around the world at lot because of my parents’ professions. Drawing was already my great passion as a kid. How does Make It Wonderful manifest itself in your illustrations and what inspired you?Wondrous and surreal illustrations have always fascinated me. I am passionate about creating fantasy worlds and thereby capturing the beholder’s imagination. I integrate little details in my work that need to be discovered. When an artist loves his or her work, this can also be sensed by the beholder.

Shan JiangI grew up in Shanghai and studied at the Fine Art College of Shanghai University. I then completed a Master’s in Visual Art at the Edinburgh College of Art. I now live in London and have been working as an illustrator and visual artist since gradu - ating. I am currently a partner at the Art & Design Studio Shotopop in London.

How does Make It Wonderful manifest itself in your illustrations and what inspired you?For me, the key aspect is the movement of flowing. In my work, I wanted to capture that moment when everything is in flux. Water is my biggest inspiration. When looking at my picture from up close, you see lines and dots; only from a distance do they start to move and begin to flow. This is an everyday experience, but I tried to focus on the movement, the flow, so that the everyday becomes “wonderful”.

ilovedust We are designers from Spain, South Africa, China and the region and live and work in Portsmouth. Our different life stories and back-grounds make an exciting mix. Our tenth anniversary last year was a major success for us. We are proud of our outstanding collaboration with clients such as Nike, Microsoft, Red Bull and IBM.

How does Make It Wonderful manifest itself in your illustrations and what inspired you?We had lots of fun when working on our illustrations. We created elements that tell stories: a child who plays ball with an octopus or skates on a grain of corn; or the man who goes sailing in a teacup. The idea of a fantastic journey fascinated us. A utopian world with butterflies and tropical birds ...

Amaia Arrazola OtaduyI was born in the Basque region, in Vitoria. After studying in Madrid and a couple of years of working in the advertising industry, I moved to Barcelona and made a fresh start here. I established my own co-working office together with other illustrators and artists. Since then, I have had the pleasure of working with clients such as Coca-Cola, Nobel, Movistar, Fiat or Bounce.

How does Make It Wonderful manifest itself in your illustrations and what inspired you?I find the best source of inspiration is in the street: a conversation between two people, children playing with a ball, a kissing couple in love – everyday scenes. I only need ordinary life for inspiration. The wonderful can be found in the small details: the choice of color, the right brush or pencil. One should make one’s work won-derful every day!

Steve SimpsonI was born in the small English town of Northwich. I have been living in Dublin for the past 25 years and been working as an illustrator for various international com-panies. I studied technical illustration in Portsmouth. I then worked in animation (Danger Mouse, Duckula and Ninja Turtles) and also in comics (The Beano and Mickey Mouse). I specialized in illustration 20 years ago.

How does Make It Wonderful manifest itself in your illustrations and what inspired you?If I were asked what I love more than anything else in the world, I would answer: doodling in my notebook. That just makes me happy. “Make It Wonderful” could be written on my headstone one day: that is precisely what I try to achieve day in day out. “Make It Wonderful” is also my motto.

Gabriel Picolo BertasoliI was born in São Paulo and still live here today. Even when I was a kid, drawing was my favorite hobby. At some stage I realized that I wanted to make drawing my profes-sion. I have now been attending a graphic design course for a year. I mostly work on private commissions. I recently partici-pated in a major project by El Cabriton with 54 Brazilian artists.

How does Make It Wonderful manifest itself in your illustrations and what inspired you?Make It Wonderful becomes apparent in the multitude of scenes of people having fun. When drawing the coffee machine doodles, the scent of coffee and coffee beans was a huge source of inspi-ration for me to create a wonderful atmosphere. I am a coffee lover and I drew a great deal of my work in a café nearby.

Christopher MartinI originally come from North London, but today I live in East London. I simply cannot leave this city. After college, I studied illustration art at Southampton Solent University. In addition to the great collaborations with Nexus Productions, Nike and Umbro, my biggest success so far has certainly been the D & AD Yellow Pencil, which I won for my work for a project with Johnny Walker.

How does Make It Wonderful manifest itself in your illustrations and what inspired you?I think Make It Wonderful comes alive in the funny and droll way of how the story of producing the perfect pint is narrated in my illustration. I created a mini world of figures and events.
