LIONS CLUB OF TOORA – JUNIOR PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION Ameliah, Cheyanne, Django, Ella, Maddy D, Sarita, Scarlet and Sunday have courageously stepped up to the

challenge of public speaking and we’re all very proud of them for just giving it a go. The Lions Junior Public Speaking Competition will be held on Tuesday 19th September at the Toora Lions den on Jetty Rd. Toora PS will have two representatives, one grade 3-4 student and one grade 5-6 student selected from

the team. The grade 3-4 topic is ‘if you had the chance to go anywhere, where would you go?’. This can be real or imaginary! The grade 5/6 topic is ‘if you could fix one problem in the world…what would you fix?’. This is an amazing opportunity for these children to make some thoughtful and creative suggestions for our world. “Team Toora” members have already come up with very interesting and thought provoking topics. So, they have a fair bit of preparing and rehearsing to do and we hope everyone can give them lots of encouragement, support and practice. Team Coach is Sue Plowright. If you’re interested in helping with rehearsals, please give me a call on 0413085736. Sue Plowright (PhD) Phone: 0413 085 736
