حدود له، في تغيير الصيغة االعالمية وتحوير الفكر االنساني. انه ايوان مليء باألرواح والدهاليز، ومخلوقات ال عين رأت وال أذن سمعت ، وال خطرت على بشر في زماننا ، فما بالك قبل زماننا بأزمان، انه »االنترنت

الكوني«... اذ ال يصح أن يطلق عليه اسم غير ذلك، لما فيه من تجاوز لمكونات العقل البشري الذي عشناه منذ آالف السنين، وإن شئت منذ ماليين السنين. انه كون واسع أبلغ ما يكون االتساع، وعميق كأعمق ما تتجه اليه

القدرات؛ أفقنا عليه ذات غرة لنجده أمامنا ووراءنا، فوقنا وتحتنا، بل انه يجري فينا مجرى النَفَس.

في ظّل هذا التغيير الجذري الذي أرسته فورة االنترنتت، ال سيما منها الرقمية، فأزيلت الحدود والحواجز وتدفقت المعلومات واألخبار واألفكار بحرية لم تكن سابقاً متاحة، أعلنت صحيفة »اإلنديبندنت« البريطانية توقف نسختها

الورقية واتجاهها نحو الصحافة الرقمية قائلة : »اليوم توقّفت المطابع، وجّف الحبر، وقريباً لن يُصدر الورق حفيفاً. لكن مع إغالق فصل، يفتح آخر، وستواصل روحية »اإلنديبندنت« االزدهارمتماشية مع عصر االنترنت«.

أمام لحظات كهذه ال تنفع الشاعرية والوقوف على األطالل، بل ال بدّ من التعقلن والتصّرف بواقعية ومجاراة التطّور الحاصل لئاّل يفوتنا القطار. مستقبل الصحافة هو الصحافة الرقمية، شئنا أم أبينا، وال أحد يستطيع دفن رأسه

في التراب.

من األكيد أن التخلّي عن الصحف الورقية لن يكون باألمر الهيّن وهو ال يبدو أنه سيحصل في المدى المنظور، ولكن وفق ما نشهده من تطّور تكنولوجي هائل، لن نعجب من أن تمسي الصحف المطبوعة نوعاً من اآلثار تُحفظ

في المتاحف إلخبار أجيال المستقبل عنها.

قد يكون من الصعب على التقليديين أن يندمجوا في هذا الوافد الرقمي الجديد ويتقنوا أدواته ووسائله ، ولكنه اصبح خيارا ال مفر منه أمام هذا التطور التكنولوجي الذي طاول كل مجاالت الحياة. امام هذا الهذيان التقني نقف

مشدوهين، ونتساءل: أيُعقل، غداً، أن نتأسف على اللوح اإللكتروني والهاتف الذكي كما نتأسف اليوم على الصحيفة الورقية؟

But, with the closing of a chapter, a new one is opened. The “Independent ” spirit will continue to flourish in the new Digital Era”.

In front of moments like this, it is become certain that the future of media is the DIGITAL media. Whether we like it or not, no one can stand alone and bury his head in the sand. Certainly, it would not be so easy to abandon printed newspapers; at least it doesn’t seem as so happening in the foreseeable future. But, as we undergo the process of a huge Online Technological Development, no wonder if we see the printed newspas-pers become part of attics of museums, for the future generations to remember.

It may not be easy, say for traditionalists, to integrate into this new Digital Online Media. But, we envision that with time, they will have no other choice but to meet and master the challenges, tools and methods of this Revolution. In front of this rapid evolution of the COSMIC WEB, we stand amazed and rave in wonder, asking our-selves: Can be possible in the futur days, we will grieve the Tablet and Smartphone, as we grieve today the printed newspaper?

1. Why are you running for the U.S. Senate in 2016 as an IDEPENDENT? I am running as an independent because I see that there are approximately 3.2 million people in Florida who are registered voters with no party affiliation, and it’s grown over the last 10 years by 50 percent. I can see that the American people , and I am one of them, are frustrated with career politicians and are tired of “strict” partisanship. We the people need fresh ideas from outside of the “Washington Establishment”. I believe I can bring these fresh ideas that are critical to solving issues including job creation, education reform, comprehensive tax reform, healthcare accessibility and affordability, and immigration reform.

2. As you know the community is suffering from an unfair immigration system, do you have any reform plan? I am an immigrant myself, as U.S. Senator representing Florida I will be able to serve the community needs better than anybody else as I understand the real issues. My top priority is to expedite the “follow to join” process for spouses and children of a U.S. Permanent Resident to ease the suffering of family separation. I will support all reasonable solutions proposed by Congress that addresses the undocumented individuals living in the United States. I stand firmly that those undocumented individuals who have committed a crime after entering this country shall be returned to their countries and never allowed back in the USA. Safety of our people and national security are my number one priority.

3. What about the education reform?Education is a significant issue that I will address as a

Senator. I strongly believe that the Federal Government must leave education to local governments, teachers, and parents. Interest rates for “student loans” must be reduced to no more than 3% to ease the pay off. The State of Florida should offer big tuition discounts to driven and qualified high school graduates. I will work to educate our community about the Federal and State student grants available for the public.

4. What are your plans for job creation?Job creation for Florida would be also one of my top priorities. NASA must be brought back to life by restoring the “Space Coast” project so that thousands of high-paying jobs will be created for scientists and engineers. Major US airlines, as well as small and large independent aviation maintenance organizations, will be encouraged to expand and strengthen their presence in Florida by considering the state as their main hob. This will create thousands of high-paying jobs.

Regulation and red tape affecting small business must be continuously reviewed and amended to eliminate unnecessary hardships on the owner.

5. Do you agree on the current Minimum Wage:Increasing the minimum wage will help millions of Americans rise above the poverty level and reduce their dependence on the Federal Government subsidies. 6. What about the civil liberties and civil rights: We must always keep America without infringing our constitutional freedoms. Our efforts to protect the nation are best served by laws that also protect the fundamental human rights of all who live here. Now, more than ever, we need to have the courage to stand up for our values of liberty, democracy and justice for all.

Tony Khoury, the 57 years-old Middle Eastern immigrant originally from Jerusalem, is an American success story. After arriving in the U.S. at the age of seventeen, he earned an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering. Tony founded several aviation companies in south Florida, creating hundreds of jobs. Recently he announced his candidacy for the open U.S. Senate seat for Florida as an independent candidate. We met him at his house in Coral Cables, Florida.


Waddah Allaf, M.D. is a pulmonologist in Miami, Florida and is affiliat-ed with multiple hospitals in the area, including Memorial Hospital Pem-broke, Memorial Hospital West, Memorial Hospital Regional, Broward General, Aventura and Jackson North. He received his medical degree from University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice for 27 years. Dr. Allaf accepts most types of health insurances.

The world is grieving the loss of Zaha Hadid, the brightest name in global performance of architecture and engineering design. She died on March 31, 2016 at the age of 65 in a Miami hospital from a heart attack. She was the daughter of the previous Iraqi Finance Minister: Mohammad Hadid, born on October 13, 1950 in Baghdad. She studied Mathematics at the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon; and in 1977 graduated from the “Construction Institute” in London.

In the year 2004 she received the “Pritzker Award” which is equal to the “Nobel” Prize.In 2010 she won the “British Sterling Award”, one of the world most prestigious awards in the field of architecture and engineering, also, in the same year she was awarded the “French Legion of Honor” (Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur) in arts, and was named by the UNESCO the “Peace Artist”. Also, in the same year “Time” magazine se-lected her among the 100 most influential personalities in the world. In the year, 2015 the Iraqi-British architect became the first woman to be awarded the “Royal Engineer-ing” Gold Medal in the history of England.

During her career, Zaha Hadid focused on the relation-ships between architecture, landscape and geology, and applied it into her projects producing a creative engineering technology. She used stone in most design cases through geometric and dynamic forms. She made the world most beautiful with her ideas, to a point that she was named the “Queen of architectural creativity”.

Obstructive Sleep ApneaObstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common and serious sleep disorder in which breathing is repeatedly interrupted during sleep.
