The Lyrics Don't leave me in all this pain

Don't leave me out in the rainCome back and bring back my smileCome and take these tears awayI need your arms to hold me nowThe nights are so unkindBring back those nights when I held you beside me

Un-break my heartSay you'll love me againUndo this hurt you causedWhen you walked out the doorAnd walked out of my lifeUn-cry these tearsI cried so many nightsUn-break my heartMy heart

Take back that sad word good-byeBring back the joy to my lifeDon't leave me here with these tearsCome and kiss this pain awayI can't forget the day you leftTime is so unkindAnd life is so cruel without you here beside me

Un-break my heartSay you'll love me againUndo this hurt you causedWhen you walked out the doorAnd walked out of my lifeUn-cry these tearsI cried so many nightsUn-break my heartMy heart

Don't leave me in all this painDon't leave me out in the rainBring back the nights when I held you beside me

Un-break my heartSay you'll love me againUndo this hurt you causedWhen you walked out the doorAnd walked out of my lifeUn-cry this tearsI cried so many, many nightsUn-break my

Unbreak My Heart Toni Braxton’s music Unbreak my heart is the typical narrative of a woman in love and her

heart break, the video contain typical codes and conventions of a music video such as the typical flashback of the narrative leading to the loss of the love on.

This close up denotes the emphasis on the perfect relationship and their happiness

The narrative begins with a shot of the tragedy, this is commonly seen in love songs in music videos

A zoom on the character as she cries connotes to the audience that she is hurt and hart broken

The shot also is relevant to the lyrics ‘don't leave me in all this pain’

As the music video goes on the denotation is shifted from the same beautiful woman but now more vulnerable e and appears so to the audience. The clip also still applies to the lyrics as she sings ‘Unbreak my heart’ her on the floor emphasises on her loneliness and as said before fits the lyrics

This medium close up of a beautiful woman is a denotation to the audience she is dressed in lingerie.

Here she is seen in the shower, the water falling can be seen as a representation of her tears (as she sings ) ‘un cry these tears’. Her throwing up her can be a representation of her broken heart and her begging for the pain to leave her.

Still following the narrative goes through a sequence of different motifs as it switches from past to present (not linear).
