Breast tomosynthesis provides better visualization of breast tissue in many patients, improving cancer detection and leading to earlier diagnosis and treatment. It also helps our radiologists distinguish normal tissue from true abnormalities, reducing the need for many women to return for additional imaging after their screening examination.

As has been the case for many years, our Brigham and Women’s radiologists specialize in reading mammograms on site as part of our patient first mission. We offer same day imaging interpretation, as well as extended day, evening and weekend appointments.
