Student Attendance

I would just like to remind everyone that if you are planning a holiday with your family during the school term, you

will need to fill out the correct paperwork, which is available from the front office. If you are travelling overseas, a

copy of your flight information needs to be included.

Congratulations Ms Sue Holloway

It was a great pleasure to present Ms Holloway with a Certificate of Recognition at our K-6 assembly this week for all

of her wonderful work with sport.

Ms Holloway has been actively involved in school sport throughout her career. She has coached school teams and

zone teams, freely giving up her own time before and after school hours as well as during lunch and recess breaks to

conduct training sessions. She has been heavily involved in swimming, athletic and cross country carnivals at both a

school and zone level. Ms Holloway's knowledge and years of experience have been of immense value at these

carnivals and she has regularly assisted colleagues in developing their own skills in order that they make a more

effective contribution themselves.

Mrs Holloway organised Friday afternoon swimming lessons as part of our sporting program, ensuring all aspects of

policy and procedure were followed correctly. This involved liaising with the Aquatic Centre, negotiating with staff

and parents, ensuring students were placed into correct groups and completing Risk Assessments and Behaviour

Management Plans for students. As a result, Tomaree Public is the only school in the local area that can offer this

program to support our students.

Congratulations Sue…so very well deserved!

Year 6 Fair

Congratulations to Mrs Donovan and the Year 6 students for their wonderful efforts at the Year 6 Fair. A great time

was had by all. Thank you to all of our parents and students for supporting the seniors in our school in their

fundraising efforts.

Joint P&C Meeting

Tonight we are having a joint TPS and THS P&C meeting, starting at 6pm in the staff common room. Mrs Kate

Washington will be addressing the meeting and answering questions.

Kindergarten 2019

We had the first of our classroom visits for our new Kindergarten students for 2019 this week. It was lovely to see

our current and incoming students mixing so well. If you have a child who will be beginning with us next year and is

yet to attend an orientation, please contact the office as soon as possible.

Grandfriends’ Assembly + 20th Anniversary

Tomorrow we are having our Grandfriend’s/20th Anniversary Assembly. There will be a BBQ for our Grandfriends in

the morning before school, followed by an assembly at 9.45am. Please come along and join in the fun!

Take care and have a wonderful week
