Trust no one. Suspect even your own shadow. Welcome to the Bayou, a part of the city feared and loathed, wherein lies the infamous Bayou Mansions; a sprawling, stinking tenement block, in which curtain-twitchers and peeping toms live side-by-side, and the wolf is always at the door.

Like a giant graphic novel burst into life, 1927 invite you on a theatrical journey of startling originality. “Anyone interested in the theatre should see this company now” The Observer.Seamlessly synchronizing live music, performance and storytelling with stunning films and animation, this wickedly twisted show comes to TOM - The Old Market for a limited season, following a world premiere at Sydney Opera House and sell-out, critically acclaimed seasons in Sydney, Melbourne, London, Perth and Paris.“This is a perfect alternative show. In fact, it is a perfect show.” The Financial Times

She returns to earth for one more night of fun, bringing Vegas legend Elvis Presley & Amy Winehouse. Join the superstars and the 6 piece Burning Love Band for plenty of swing, as they sing and dance away their final night on Earth. “Fabulous, fantastic, fun and feel good” The Argus.

Dizzy Gillespie’s most famous contributions to Afro-Cuban music are the compositions “Manteca” and “Tin Tin Deo”. Machito’s Afro Cubans (formed in 1940), the creators of Cu-Bop, were a major influence on musicians like Dizzy Gillespie. Dizzy loved it so much, that in 1975, he invited Machito’s son, Mario Grillo or Machito Jr., to join Dizzy’s band for the recording of ‘Afro-Cuban Jazz Moods’.So it only makes sense to have Machito Jr. join the Dizzy Gillespie™ Afro Cuban Experience as a special guest alongside performers: John Lee, Bass; Freddie Hendrix, Trumpet & Flugelhorn; Sharel Cassity, Sax & Flutes; and Robby Ameen, Drums.

Robin Ince’s Book Club won numerous awards when it began from Time Out Outstanding Achievement, Chortle award for innovation and nomination for best live show (unsurprisingly beaten by Little Britain - damn the public vote!). For one night only he brings back a very special part of the book club - the strangest passages of sex from numerous books rescued from skips and charity shops. Expect shock, confusion and possibly revulsion as you hear of sex during killer crab attacks, liaisons with donkeys and even a little De Sade.

Back on the road with his new show, ‘Too Scared to Leave the House’, Lee casts his comedy eyes over the many end-of-the-world scare stories from Acid Rain and Global Warming to Bird Flu and Mad Cow Disease and many other ‘apocalyptic disaster predictions’ that never were. He also muses over all the everyday dangers that face us in our daily lives. Ultimately Lee believes that you choose your own fate... You can stay indoors, hoarding cans of beans, clutching a Ray Mears book or you can go out and laugh in the face of doom.

// after 10 years, Lee Hurst is back on the roadsharper and funnier than ever

Experimenting with a tiny camera and big screen, Simon Munnery is Fylm-Makker. Presenting a beautiful mix of visual sketches, handcrafted animation, music and stand-up, all created and performed live on screen. Simon Munnery at his most rewarding, enthralling and avant-garde best. As recently seen/heard on BBC2’s Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle, The Culture Show, Comedy Central’s The Alternative Comedy Experience and Radio 4’s News Quiz. Simon is a British Comedy Award nominee, Chortle Award winner, Perrier Award nominee and Sony Radio Award winner. The Scotsman Chortle [for Simon Munnery]

German Comedy Ambassador Henning Wehn is a fountain of knowledge. There’s no shortcut to success, hard work will eventually pay off and there is no shame in paying tax. But what he knows bestest is that his comedy shows are a guaranteed success. Either he’s funny or he confirms a national stereotype. It’s a win-win situation. Wunderbar! “Side-splittingly funny” The Times “A vulnerable man” The GuardianRecent TV and radio appearances include Matt Lucas Awards (BBC1), QI (BBC2), Dave’s One Night Stand (Dave, obviously), Unbelievable Truth and The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), Fighting Talk (BBC Five Live) and his own six part BBC Radio2 series Henning Knows Best.

Local legend Terry Garoghan returns. Last year 1,700 fans packed The Dome Concert Hall to say farewell to ‘Brighton the Musical’. This new show is about Terry’s relationship with The Devil rather than The Devil’s Dyke! There will be 13 stories, 13 self penned songs, and one angelic cellist - Miss Angie Wilson. It will also mark the launch of an album of songs from the show.
