WHO IS RICH INDUSTRIES, INC. ?
RICH INDUSTRIES, INC. TOLL FREE: (888) RICH IND PAGE 1
Rich Industries, Inc. has been in business since 1971. We were born out of an idea and company by the name of Snyder Manufacturing in the mid-
1950’s. It was that company that developed the first Air-Supplied Bubble Suit used at the former Mound Laboratories facility in Miamisburg, Ohio.
My father, Louis A. Contini, was a vital part of that company for over 20 years, growing from stock boy to Vice-President of Finance & Marketing
which he remained until he left in 1977, when Snyder Mfg. sold to Bristol Myers. In the early 1970’s, Snyder Mfg. had all but completely dropped the
nuclear protective line. In 1971, our Senior Vice-President, William J. Arnold, along with the input of my father, began a small manufacturing
operation in Uhrichsville, Ohio. The center of the name Uhrichsville, is where our company, Rich Industries, Inc., got its name.
Rich Industries, Inc. is a company whose primary function is to manufacture protective clothing and apparel for the Nuclear, Pharmaceutical,
Environmental, and Chemical industries. But truly, we are much more than that. Rich Industries, Inc. is a group of individuals, a family if you will,
with a deep commitment in Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Not only because He is the Chariman of the Board of our Company, but because we
know He is Our Provider. He is the Center of our Company. Customers like you are the reason or purpose we exist, but it is because of Him that we
do exist.
The company existed, but floundered in a market that was well saturated with many like-companies, Defense Apparel, Nuclear Protective
Outfitters, Lancs Industries, and Lakeland Industries to name a few. In 1977 when my father left Snyder Mfg. to bring his fresh new ideas, undying
energy, and great business sense to take over Rich Industries, Inc., he knew he was going to make our Company the leader in the industry. In the first
couple of years he struggled through a very tough process of trying to grow Rich Industries, Inc. He made Jesus Christ the Chariman of the Board, set
Him in the corner, and went to work.
After those very lean couple of years, my father decided maybe it was time to go back to that corner, pull out our Lord, dust him off and humble
himself to follow His direction. Only then did Rich Industries, Inc. begin to become the Company we are today. We grew into a company that in the
mid-1980’s had an employment of over 130, running three shifts on a six day basis. We were undoubtedly the unmeasured leader in the industry. We
manufactured clothing, bags, hoods, footcoverings, and every imaginable needed protective item for the industry. We serviced customers such as
DuPont/Westinghouse at the Savannah River Plant, Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site in Golden, Colorado, Fluor Hanford in Richland,
Washington, U.S. Department of Energy Facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, the various shipyards of the United States Navy, the United States Army
and many commercial nuclear facilities throughout the United States and Canada. In the pharmaceutical arena, we work with companies such as
Johnson & Johnson and Glaxo. Additionally, we are working to develop clean room products for Intel and Micron Technologies.
Through our 34 years, we have seen many competitors come and go. They provided us some very formidable competition during those years, but
we have always managed to stay on top. In the early 1980’s, when several of our competitors had fallen by the wayside, in an industry that can be
labeled “dying” at best, we have survived, because we know who our Provider is - Jesus Christ.

In January 2005, sadly, my father, our President, passed away at the age of 72. He was a vital part of our company. Although by this time he had
assembled a group of talented individuals groomed to make Rich Industries, Inc. continue for many years to come.
Upon my father’s passing, I became President of Rich Industries, Inc. This was not a change of leadership, but more of a custodial change.
Although Dad was the President for 28 years, he knew, like I know, that we are just the custodians under the leadership of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
Our Provider. My father passed on all of his worldly knowledge of running a business, but equally or even more importantly, he left us his spiritual
leadership to know and acknowledge that because of Jesus Christ we exist to do what we do.
Yes, we believe to a person in what we do and why we do it. It is because of our Provider that we have the opportunity to serve customers such as
yourself. We believe once that opportunity is provided to us, it is our job to be diligent in our work efforts to do the best job we can to meet your
expectations. Our job is to give you, our customer, the utmost quality, best delivery and the most competitive pricing possible. Our job is to earn
your trust and then … keep it! We surround ourselves with only the best! We make it a priority to work in all possible cases with top grade
American manufacturers such as Dow Chemical, E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, Wiman Plastic Corporation, Poly One Engineered Films and
affiliate ourselves with companies like Nuclear Filter Technologies to service you, our customer.
We believe in Our Products, Our Customers, Our Country, and Our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank you and Him for the opportunity to do
business with you. We will cherish it always.
Sincerely,
RICH INDUSTRIES, INC.
JEFFREY L. CONTINI
