BRENDA JAMISON

I, Brenda Jamison know that the path that God has taken my life is

one that has increased my faith in HIM. In a small city (Havelock) in

Eastern North Carolina, at the age of 12, I accepted HIM as my Lord

and Savior. He has blessed my life more than I could ever deserve or

imagine from the survival of a twin who was given a 50/50 chance at

birth to learning weeks before my wedding that Walter and I would

be tested to trust and depend on HIM early in our marriage as I faced

breast cancer. I knew God was not done with me and had work for

me to do. The call to Deacon at Restoration Christian Fellowship

Church was answered as I served as Deacon in Training prior to

becoming a Member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in 2010.

At Mt. Calvary, I currently hold the position of Vice-President and former Secretary of Women’s

Ministry, provide support to the Young Adult Ministry-Linked-Up, Church Prayer Vigil,

attendance of the Wednesday and Monday night Bible Study classes and Saturday Women’s

Bible Study Class.

Always my pride is my twins, Janeice and Justin, my extended family, Marques and Tempest and

all who call me mom. I am also proud of my husband, Walter, who will serve with me, God and

his people as Deacons at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

I face life challenges by reflecting on Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who

strengthens me”.

WALTER JAMISON

As I, Walter Jamison, look back over my life, I have always had

someone praying for me, my mom. At the age of five, I lost my

father due to a tragic accident. So, mom who was left to raise

3 kids from the ages of 5 to 1 year taught us to rely on our

Heavenly Father. This was a concept that was needed being

borne, reared and to accepting Christ in the Greater

Washington DC area.

I loved to sing, but never thought it would be for the glory of

the Lord, I was just making a joyful noise. I joined Mt Calvary in

2010, and I currently sing with the Mt. Calvary Male Chorus and I’m enjoying every minute. I

also enjoy being a part of the Men’s ministry, Men’s and Magnificent Monday Bible study and

support to Linked-Up YAM. I originally accepted the call to the deaconate in 2002 at St. Judah

Spiritual Baptist Church where I was first ordained.

I’m the proud father of 4 and the loving husband of my one and only Brenda. And my favorite

scripture is Rom 8:38-39. “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor

principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any

other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus

our Lord”.
