DAY 1 Rio de Janeiro g

Reception at the internationalairport and transfer to hotel.Afternoon free, at leisure. Takethe opportunity to learn themain sites of the city and visitthe beautiful beaches.(Optional: Samba Show, ordinner in selected restaurant.)

DAY 2 Rio de Janeiro g Morning city tour visiting the Cathedral,the Opera House and Sambódromo, ending with a cable car rideto the top of Sugar Loaf. Lunch at Confeitaria Colombo. Afternoonfree, at leisure.

DAY 3 Rio de Janeiro g Depart from the hotel to the Corcovado railway station at the foot ofthe Corcovado mountain. A 3.5 kilometer (25 minute) train ride through the lush mountaingreenery of Tijuca Forest to the station on the top of the mountain. Walk 222 steps from thetrain station to the 38 meter high statue of Christ the Redeemer, 710 m above sea level.(Optional: full-day regular tour to Itacuruça, with cruise to tropical islands.)

DAY 4 Rio de Janeiro g Drive 1 1/2 hours through numerous fields, banana plantations andvillages along the way to the small fishing village of Itacurussa. Here nature has excelled itselfand dotted the bay with over 300 islands. Made of sheer rock and covered with thick, lushvegetation, they appear to be floating jungles in the emerald green waters. Embark on a“Saveiro” (schooner from the northeast of Brazil) for a leisure cruise in the calm waters of theSepetiba Bay. Stop for swim on a deserted island. In the afternoon, guests are free to explorethe island. Arrive back at Rio’s hotel around 6:00 pm.

DAY 5 Rio de Janeiro / Iguazu Falls g Transfer to airport. Flight to Iguazu (not included). Arrivaland transfer in Iguazu. Day free, at leisure. (Optional: Dinner with local show.)

DAY 6 Iguazu Falls g Morning tour to Argentinian side of the waterfalls. Lunch at CanoasRestaurant or similar. Afternoon tour to Brazilian side of the waterfalls to a point from whereone has a nice view of the falls on the Argentinean side and where a pathway begins. Walkingalong the pathway through the lush forest, one will see more and more of the falls and possiblysmall animals, birds and butterflies. At the end of the pathway, are souvenir shops, a bar andbathrooms. Ascend to the main road by elevator and return transfer to the hotel.

DAY 7 Iguazu Falls g Morning, departure to “Macuco Safári”. The adventure starts on a trackin the National Park up to the Macuco Waterfall, a 20m high crystal water fall, which emergesin the vegetation forming a natural pool on the rocks. Travel the first 3km by electric jeeps,which are anti-noise and air pollution, preserving the natural environment. The next 600m aredone on foot through the jungle towards the Macuco waterfall. Throughout the tour bilingualguides provide interesting accounts of the local fauna and flora. On arrival to the bank of theIguazu River, get on a rubber dinghy, equipped with life jackets, and travel upstream along thecanyon towards the Falls. Afternoon transfer to the aiport.

FLORIANOPOLIS – 7 DAYS

DAY 1 Arrive in Florianopolis g Meet your English-speaking guide at the airport Hercílio Luzin Florianópolis, transfer to the hotel. Evening at your leisure.

DAY 2 City tour g Breakfast at the hotel. A visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral to see: thewood sculpture Flight Into Egypt – a magnificent work of art from the 17th century; gardensand interior of the Government Palace; the monument to the dead from the war withParaguay; and the traditional, century old fig tree in the XV de Novembro Square. Ascend tothe top of Cruz Hill for a panoramic view of the city. Drive around the south bay, UniversityCity, and Hercilio Luz Bridge, inaugurated on 1926. Return to the hotel.

DAY 3 Historical city tour g Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the city of Imbituba, stop atthe Museu da Baleia – Whale Museum – and see part of the last whaling station used forhunting. Visit Itapiruba beach, the historical city of Laguna, the moles da Barra and the AnitaGaribaldi Museum. Return to the hotel

DAY 4 Northean Beaches g Breakfast at the hotel. Past hotels and continuing along theshore of the north bay, visit Cacupe Beach and the colonial Portuguese Village of SantoAntonio de Lisboa. Visit the church (when permitted) and Sambaqui Beach. From here you canappreciate the view of the city in the distance and the sweep of the north bay approachingthe Ratones Islands. Continuing to Jurere Beach, visit the ruins of the fort Sao Jose de PontaGrossa, built in 1748. Later, visit to Canasvieiras Beach Resort.

DAY 5 Schooner Tour g Breakfast at the hotel. Pass under the Hercilio Luz bridge, apanoramic sightseeing tour through north bay, and through the little and big Ratones Islands.Stop at the Island of Anhatomirim to visit an 18th century fortress. Visit Dolphins Bay. Returnto downtown. Duration: 07 hours.

DAY 6 Enjoy Nature g Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy the wonderful beaches ofSanta Catarina Island.

DAY 7 g Breakfast at hotel. Check out and transfer to the airport.
