Today’s Willing Servants July 28, 2019 Krista Solars, a recent transplant to Las Vegas, Nevada, has performed on naonal television with arsts like Reik, Chayanne, and Imagine Dragons; and as a member of Bella Electric Strings, she has opened for superstars Blondie, Pentatonix, Rachel Plaen, and Lenny Kravitz. Krista was born and raised in Ohio, where she began playing the violin at the age of four, and eventually earned her Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2010, and a Master's Degree (also in Violin Performance) from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in 2013. She is also the four-me state of Ohio fiddling champion, having begun playing fiddle music at the age of six and winning first place in numerous compeons throughout the Midwest in her two decades of compeng. She has several recordings to her name, spanning both the classical and fiddle genres - the first of which was completed at the age of 16 - and she is currently working on a collecon of original songs to be released soon. In January, she will be moving to Nashville, Tennessee, to connue chasing her musical dreams. We will be collecting school supplies for People to People on August 4, 11, and 18. Please bring some notebooks, rulers, and pencils (or any other school supplies) with you to church on one of those days and place them in the red wagon in Wesley Hall. People to People will get the supplies into the hands of students who need them!
