Proper Use of the FFA Jacket

1. Jacket is to be worn only by members. 2. Jacket should be kept clean & neat. 3. Jacket should have only a large

emblem on back & small emblem on front.– It should carry State Association &

Chapter name on back.– It should have individual name & office

or honor on the front.

4. Jacket should be worn on official occasions with zipper fastened to the top.

5. Jacket may be worn to school. 6. Jacket should only be worn to places

that are appropriate for members to visit. 7. School letters & insignia of other

organizations should not be attached.

8. When jacket becomes faded & worn, it should be discarded or the emblems & letters removed.

9. Emblems & lettering should be removed if the jacket is given or sold to a non-member.

10. A member always acts like a lady or gentleman when wearing the jacket.

The FFA Code of Ethics

Adopted in 1952 at the National FFA Convention and outlines general guidelines for all occasions and functions, not just FFA activities.

We will conduct ourselves at all times in order to be a credit to our organization, chapter, school & community by:

1. Dressing neatly & appropriately for the occasion.

2. Showing respect for the rights of others and be courteous at all times.

4. Respecting the property of others. 5. Refraining from loud, boisterous talk,

swearing & other unbecoming conduct. 6. Demonstrating sportsmanship in the

show ring, at career development events & meetings.

8. Taking pride in our organization, activities, supervised experience programs, exhibits & the occupations of agriculture.
