Indian markets rallied over 1.5 per cent on Thursday to snap a three-day losing streak.

It was an all-inclusive rally in the benchmark indices where all of the sectors were seen contributing to the

upside by witnessing a minimum 1 per cent jump.

The oil & gas major is expected to report 5.4 per cent sequential rise in its net profits for the fourth quarter

ended March 31 to Rs 5800 core as compared to Rs

5500 crore reported in the previous quarter.

US stocks ended a holiday-shortened week with

mostly modest gains on Thursday, though the S&P

500 notched its biggest weekly advance since July as

Morgan Stanley and General Electric rallied after

strong results.

Asian stocks climbed with Russian shares as the ru-

ble dropped on easing tension in Ukraine

European markets finished higher on Thursday with

shares in Germany leading the region. The DAX is

up 0.99% while London's FTSE 100 is up 0.62% and

France's CAC 40 is up 0.59% .
