GETTING TO KNOW YOU

In an effort to promote the warm community feeling we strive for here at KMS, we introduce you to KMS members each week. We hope you enjoy meeting fellow

members and use these bios as a catalyst to introduce yourself to others at KMS.

DEENA & OREN MARGULIES Oren and Deena Margulies moved to Kemp Mill in 2002 (after living in Rockville for a year after getting married), and have been KMS members since they moved from the Warwick Apartments to their house on North Belgrade in 2009. Oren was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in White Oak, rooting for all the local sports teams (still do, but less rabidly) and dreaming of the day he would live in Kemp Mill. Deena was born in Brooklyn, and lived there until middle school, when her family moved to West Hempstead. They met

in N.Y. (thanks to an introduction by a mutual friend) in March 2001, when Deena beat Oren in bowling on their first date, and were married in December 2001. Oren is a lawyer, specializing in U.S. international tax planning and is starting a new job at PwC this Monday after 11-plus years working in law firms. Deena is an expense analyst for Theralogix, a Rockville company that markets nutritional supplements. They have 4 boys, Jamie (14), Sammy (12), Gabey (10), and Jakie (7), all of whom attend Berman Hebrew Academy. The boys enjoy sports, video games, computer games, television, time with friends, and (occasionally) reading. Oren and Deena enjoy driving the boys to sports, movies, friends, etc. The Margulies family loves living in Kemp Mill and attending KMS. They are very thankful for all of their friends at KMS and are grateful for the warm and steady leadership provided by Rabbi and Elana Weinberg.
