SIR,

In the news i have seen that you want to solve the problem of ONE RANK ONE PENSION, BUT THERE IS PROBLEM IN CALCULATION of PENSION EVERY YEAR.

I have a very simple formula for calculation of pension.

There are two type of problem;-

1. The pensioners retired before revision of scales, presently they get basic pension equal to 50% of the minimum of the revised scale of that grade and the pensioner retired after the revision of pay scales get basic pension equal to 50% of the last drawn basic pay. To remove difference;-

If at the time of retirement he was getting (n) increments then the new basic pension should be.

50% of {minimum of the new revised scale and new grade pay + (n/2) increments of new rates}

2. If a junior retired one year later certainly he will get one more increment in salary so his pension will be higher.

To remove this problem pensioners can also be given one increment in basic pension.

To solve both of these problems;-

Basic pension should be;-

50% of {minimum of the new revised scale and new grade pay + (n/2) increments of new rates} + one increment every year.

This will give a proper justice to the retired persons.

BY THIS METHOD YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO REVISE PENSION EVERY YEAR OR BY EVERY FIVE YEAR BUT REVISION WILL BE DONE AFTER EVERY REVISION OF GRADES BY PAY COMMISSION, WHICH IS THE REGULAR PRACTICE.
