To log-in to ‘Typequick Professional, you have to go to

the log-in page at:-http://kbdlessons2.appspot.com/typequick.html

The log in screen appears. A student will log in as e.g., nameoforg.jonesm

and enter their password which is case sensitive.

You’ll then see the course menu. Click on ‘resume’ to begin at the point you last finished. Or select ‘choose lesson’ to go to another lesson in the chosen course, or select ‘choose

course’ to move to a new course.

There are scores of lessons to choose from. It is best to complete all the lessons in the Basic Keyboard Lessons course first.

By clicking on the ‘choose course’ option, you can see a list of courses available which will each contain many lessons. Users just need to click on a course title to select a

course.

When the lesson appears, you have to type the line above. In the Basic Keyboard lessons, letters are introduced incrementally. So early lessons are mainly ‘drills’ whilst

later lessons will be more complete passages of text. It is best to follow the Basic Keyboard Lessons in sequence as these are fundamental to learning the finger positions

and the skill of touch typing.

The ‘catch my cursor’ sequence is used when introducing new letters and helps students memorise finger positions.

At the end of each lesson you get feedback on your performance. Then clicking the ‘next lesson’ button takes you to the next one in the sequence.

Your score is recorded in your lesson report. This will build into a long list of lesson scores as you progress through the course. You can organise scores in order, such as

fastest first, most accurate etc.

And the Key Graph will show you how fast and accurate you were against each key in the last lesson you completed. Notice the average speed and goal speed are illustrated in

the speed graph.

In the Settings menu, you can make changes to the font size, style and colour, whether sounds play in the course, etc. You can also change your goal speed.

The help button provides guidance wherever you are in the course.

Later, in accuracy mode lessons, you must press the correct key to proceed.

…whilst is the speed lessons, you are allowed to make mistakes and your errors are indicated.

Other lessons, such as the Planets, provide more speed and accuracy practice and are informative as well as fun.

Behind the documents tab on the log in page is a mental rehearsal card…..

….and a student Guide.

We also have an optional typing test program which generates a Typequick certificate.
