Pacific Grove: Officer dispatched to adomestic dispute reported by a neighbor. Bothhusband and wife denied physical violence hadoccurred. No alcohol, drugs, or weaponsinvolved. The husband left for the evening soboth parties could calm down.

Carmel area: Victim reported both his andhis wife’s unlocked vehicles were entered.Miscellaneous items totaling $40 were taken.No suspects.

Carmel Valley: Male reported beingpunched by a coworker. Coworker advisedhe had reacted after being threatened. Noprosecution was desired.

Big Sur: Resident reported graffiti on thenorthern support of the Torre Canyon CreekBridge in Big Sur at mile marker 39.8 onHighway 1.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Woman reported los-ing a cell phone at Carmel Beach.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A citizen reportedseeing a dog loose running back and forth onScenic Road unattended. Responded and foundthe loose black dog on Scenic and 10th. An areacheck was made and located the owner in thewater. Contact was made with owner, and thedog had escaped out of the owner’s vehicle. Thedog was properly secured, and a warning wasgiven.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A 41-year-old malewas arrested for driving on a suspended licenseand released. Vehicle towed.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A 27-year-old malewas arrested at his residence on Torres on twooutstanding warrants. He was later releasedafter posting bail.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Report of a past-tensevehicle burglary. Entry made by manipulatingdriver’s door lock. No suspect leads.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Walk-in report of a52-year-old male experiencing possible hypo-glycemia. Observed patient eat pasta followedby noticeable improvements in orientation andLOC. Patient denied further treatment or trans-port and signed a medical release.

Pacific Grove: Officers dispatched to a bur-glary in progress. Suspect fled on foot but wasapprehended. Suspect was found combativeand a Taser was deployed. Suspect arrested.

Pacific Grove: Officer dispatched to thelocation of a hit-and-run with a fence. Vehicleand owner were located.

Pacific Grove: Officer dispatched to aneighbor dispute over a tree. Neighbor 1 had atree-trimming crew come and cut some treesfor safety purposes. Neighbor 2 was concernedthat one of the trees was not supposed to betrimmed due to being in civil litigation over thetree. Neighbor 2 caused a major disturbance byscreaming and crying to the point of panic.

Carmel area: Resident reported a malewas running his dog alongside a scooter,causing a traffic hazard. The male was con-tacted and informed of the leash law and thetraffic issue.

Pebble Beach: Victim reported her lockedvehicle was broken into via window smash onOct. 26 between 0845 and 0945 hours. Vehiclewas ransacked but nothing taken. Nothing ofvalue had been left in the vehicle. No suspectinformation.

Big Sur: Man reported the theft of a pairof pants from the campsite. Also taken washis California Driver License, which was in apocket of the pants. No suspects.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A protest took place

on Camino Real and Eighth at La Playa Hotelinvolving approximately 100 participants. Theprotesters blocked the roadway and access tothe hotel. After being warned, 16 protesterswere arrested and cited for blocking the road-way. The remaining protestors left without inci-dent.

Carmel area: CPD units responded to adomestic dispute. Jane Doe told sheriff ’sdeputies her husband had punched her twice inthe face and several more times in the shoulderand back area of her body with a closed fist. Hewas arrested for domestic violence.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance called tothe scene for a patient with trauma to her eyeafter a physical disturbance. Patient refused tobe transported to the hospital.

Pacific Grove: Officers dispatched to aphysical domestic fight in progress. Suspectfled upon seeing the officers and was laterlocated in Seaside. Female victim assaulted onthree separate occasions.

Pacific Grove: Driver arrested for drivingwithout a license and for delaying peace offi-cers during arrest.

Pacific Grove: Found box of old slidesfrom the 1950s.

Carmel area: Person called to report fourunidentified males were in the neighborhoodsoliciting work and possibly casing houses.

Carmel area: Woman reported leaving herwallet and contents at a business. When shereturned 20 minutes later, it was not there.

Carmel Valley: Unknown person(s) hackedvictim’s computer and attempted to obtainmoney from victim’s customers/friends via afalse email.

Carmel area: A verbal confrontationoccurred between a mother and daughter. Theparties were apologetic when deputies arrivedand stated they would settle their differences ina more civil way.

Carmel Valley: Subject turned in a lostphone found at the Mid Valley Center Safeway.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Subject reported theloss of a necklace with pendant while patroniz-ing shops in Carmel Plaza.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Contact was madewith the victim of a previously reported hit-and-run after unsuccessful attempts to locatethe suspect driver/vehicle. Driver reported thathe has already filed a claim with his insurancecompany, and his vehicle has already beenfixed. Driver requested no further investiga-tion.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A 30-year-old maledriver was stopped on Ocean Avenue for a DUIinvestigation and subsequently arrested forDUI. He provided a breath test and was laterreleased on a citation to his girlfriend. Vehiclereleased at scene to the registered owner.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dis-patched to a thrift shop on Carmel Rancho fora female not feeling well — syncope. Patienttransported Code 2 to CHOMP.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dis-patched to Cypress Drive for a male who hadfallen and broken arm. Patient transportedCode 2 to CHOMP.Pacific Grove: Individual reported that anunknown vandal had scratched initials into hiswindshield.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30.Carmel-by-the-Sea: A loose dog was

found on San Carlos Street. The owner wascontacted by telephone via ID found on the col-lar. The owner was out of town; assistancegiven to owner and person caring for the dog.The dog had escaped by breaking through thefence where it was recently repaired. The dogwas secured inside the house, and a warningwas given.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Man left a stroller at arestaurant.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A Mountain View res-

ident reported a dog howling and was unsure ifthe dog needed help. Officer responded andfound the dog to be lonely but healthy. He hadfood, water, and shelter. The owner was latercontacted, and followup was conducted withregards to licensing matter.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Man reported loss of adigital camera while patronizing Carmel Plaza.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A window wassmashed by a San Antonio Avenue hotelguest due to his not having his hotel key. Thehotel manager was contacted, and a civilagreement was made to pay for the window

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Wallet found on thepedestrian walkway on Scenic was turned overto CPD for safekeeping pending return to theowner.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Person reported cap-turing a loose dog in the City of Carmel. Dogwas taken into custody and brought to stationfor safekeeping. Unsuccessful efforts weremade to locate the owner. At approximately2310 hours, the dog owner came to the stationin an effort to look for his lost dog. Owner wasgiven a warning, and the kennel fees werewaived due to extenuating circumstances.Owner was also advised to contact themicrochip company to have his informationupdated.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine dis-patched to Lincoln and Seventh for an alarmactivation. Alarm activated by heat from fire-place.

Big Sur: Subject was involved in a vehicleaccident on the Big Sur South Coast near the17-mile marker. The driver rolled his vehicleover, then exited the vehicle. The subject thenwalked to edge of the roadway and fell down a50-foot embankment. Local agencies workedtogether to bring him back to the roadside,where he was then transported to the hospital.

Big Sur: Two hikers were lost in Los PadresNational Forest. They were located by rescuepersonnel and transported out of the forest.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A 50-year-old malewas contacted on Junipero Street and was sub-sequently arrested for drug paraphernalia, falsetabs on a vehicle and a felony probation viola-tion. He was booked into county jail.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A male was warnedfor using gas leaf blower.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Several citizens wereattempting to capture a loose dog. One citizen

grabbed ahold of the dog and was bitten.Incident then reported to police department.Dog quarantined. Female victim refused trans-port to hospital by ambulance.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Victim on San CarlosStreet reported that someone damaged a pottedplant.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Loose dog captured inthe residential area of Dolores Street andlodged at CPD kennel. Dog owner later con-tacted CPD looking for the dog. Dog returnedto owner.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Chocolate Lab foundrunning loose along Scenic Road. Dog cap-tured and lodged at CPD kennel. Owner con-tacted, and a designate will pick up the dog.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dis-patched to Cortez Road for a female withabdominal pain. Patient transported toCHOMP.

Pebble Beach: Victim reported her creditcard was used on the Internet without her per-mission.
