How does technology benefit the classroom?

Technology brings great benefits to the classroom. It's used to help students connect, communicate and collaborate. Types of ways it benefits the classroom setting are how teachers can reach and interact with their students through a class website, apps and games to help their children learn, and ways to make projects such as videos and online book reports; helping students be creative while applying their knowledge when interacting with technology.

A Praxis Series: series of assessments used by many

states as part of the teacher certification process.

The Praxis 1 tests measure basic academic skills in reading, mathematics, and writing. Usually you take these tests before entering your teacher education program or before your student teaching or internship.

The Praxis II tests measures knowledge about specific subject areas and about principles of learning and teaching. Generally, you take these tests when you complete your teacher preparation program.

The Praxis lll assessments focuses on actual classroom performance. In states that require Praxis lll, it usually takes place in you first year of teaching and leads to a higher level of certification. It includes direct observation of your classroom practice, review of a video or other documentation you send in & interview.

Throughout this course, I have confirmed that teaching will, in fact, require a lot of hard work and dedication. There

are many elements that go into teaching, and many different types of students to assist. A lot of the history of teaching and the procedures that go along with it were new to me this semester, however, I loved learning where and how my future career was founded. My strengths as a teacher are patience, compassion, and organization. My weaknesses as a teacher are flexibility and creativity. From here I will transfer to Florida State University and continue in my classes and field work to become an

elementary teacher.
