Background information

Plasma cutting has been revolutionised in the past 10 years. New products and technologies have focused on improved cutting qualities and faster cutting speeds. In order to upgrade existing technologies to utilise the higher productivity offered by new systems, rather expensive investments had been necessary.

This was the case with the first two generations of ESAB plasma cutting systems:

ESP systems (= ESAB Smart PlasmaSystems) for conventional plasma cutting

EPP systems (= ESAB Precision PlasmaSystems) for precise cutting and marking.

m3 plasmaTM = The 3rd generation plasma-cutting system from ESAB has been developed to face all of the challenges of plasma cutting in an economical way.

Why 3rd

generation?

m3 plasmaTM systems = ONE platform for ALL marking and cutting applications

Components

The m3 plasmaTM system from ESAB makes cutting, marking and labelling metal both feasible and convenient.

With little effort, m3 plasmaTM increases productivity with a greater variety of applications.

As a welding and cutting partner to industry, ESAB knows the specific requirements for an integrated mechanized plasma cutting system for all applications.

m3 plasmaTM combines all of the requirements for fully automated production processes and is also ideal for use on cutting robots.

m3 plasmaTM is ideal for retrofitting older machinery with state-of-the-art marking and cutting technology.

Extended cutting range

Marking, labelling and cutting with the same torch

Minimum wear and spare parts

Wide range of applications for cutting and marking material from 1 mm to 50 mm

Up to 150 mm SS and AL using special wear and spare parts

Marking speeds of up to 20 m/min.

PT- 36 plasma torch

Long service life thanks to improved geometry and minimum application surface for flying sparks

Only 18 wear parts and 9 spare parts in normal operations

Pointed front end which stays close to the work piece, ideal for bevelling

Weld edge preparation up to +/- 45 degrees

Marking and cutting above, in and under water

The PT-36 is a multi-function torch whose versatility makes it ideally suitable for all plasma cutting tasks.

The innovative geometry ensures precision, long service life and a significant reduction in wear and spare parts.

Even marking or cutting under water is no problem for the PT-36.
