Dr. Allan R. Miller, P.Geo. Chief Geologist
Dr. Miller is a Mineral Deposits Specialist and formerly Mineral Deposits Research Scientist with the Geological Survey of
Canada in charge of region-scale metallogenic and deposit-scale alteration studies in northern Canada. Dr. Miller lends his
considerable expertise to mapping and interpreting the geology and mineralization of the Mirdita District. This work has already
produced some new and innovative interpretations of the VMS deposits of the district, and is generating new target areas for
exploration.
Dr. C. Tucker Barrie, Consulting VMS Expert
Dr. Barrie is a renowned consulting VMS deposit specialist and Adjunct Professor at Laurentian University and at the University
of Windsor (Canada). He has written several landmark papers on VMS deposits and has studied many of the major VMS
districts in the world. He is in high demand internationally for lectures and courses on VMS deposits. He joins Tirex as a
Consulting VMS Expert and will support the Tirex team with his expertise and experience.
Dr. Perparim Alikaj, Head of Albanian Advisory Team
Dr. Alikaj is an internationally recognized geophysicist and is Head of the Geophysics Section, Department of Earth Sciences at
Polytechnic University of Tirana (Albania). Dr. Alikaj is a citizen of both Albania and Canada is credited with inventing Real
Section IP and Voltage Domain IP technologies. He has consulted on numerous exploration projects around the world. The
largest ore deposit discovered with Real Section IP technology is the San Nicolas VMS deposit in Mexico containing 65 million
tonnes of copper, zinc, silver and gold mineral reserves. Dr. Alikaj advises Tirex on both geophysics and coordinates activities
with Albanian authorities.
John Nicholson, P. Geo., Project Manager
Mr. Nicholson has led large and complex exploration projects from the high Arctic to Mexico and South America. He brings to
Mirdita a wealth of experience in project management and logistics along with a strong geological background that ensures the
exploration is carried out effectively and to high professional standards.

ABOUT ALBANIA
Southern Europe
Excellent Logistics
Supportive government
World Class potential
Underexplored by modern methods
THE SETTING
Pioneers in a new era of Albanian mineral exploration
Tirex acquired the biggest concession in the country covering
most of the main copper-zinc-gold VMS District
Mirdita is a potentially World Class District with multiple gold-rich
economic deposits
The district has had limited modern exploration
Without modern exploration, the Albanians found 17 historical
deposits, 9 of which went into production
Being the First Mover has its advantages!
THE OPPORTUNITY
Targeting an Entire District
"Historical data suggests that the Tirex
property has the potential to host a large
VMS base metal district." (NI 43-101
Technical Summary Report, Mirdita Project,
Albania, 2007)
“VMS…deposits vary from small low grade lenses to world class
deposits that form some of the most valuable aggregates of metal
in the world.” from NI 43-101 Technical Summary Report, Mirdita
Project, Albania, 2007
So what is the potential of the Mirdita Project within this spectrum?
SIZE: The District has large historic production -
over 10 Mtonnes with many additional known deposits
and exploration targets. The potential for size is LARGE.
GRADE: The Mirdita Project has known high grade deposits
MIRDITA PROJECT POTENTIAL
MIRDITA PROJECT: A large Copper-Zinc-Gold District-scale play
DEPOSIT TYPE: Volcanogenic Massive Sulphides (VMS) similar in
form to great mining districts such as Noranda and Kuroko
THE BLUE SKY POTENTIAL: Development of a World-Class VMS
Mining District with multiple, large, gold-rich economic deposits
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Existing infrastructure from
previous mining
Good Access & Extensive
Road Networks
Electrical Power Grid
Short distance to sea port
Short distance to labour pool
Major highway construction
occurring on and near the
property, improving already
favourable logistics
GOOD INFRASTRUCTURE
In addition to drilling verification
holes in known deposit areas,
Tirex will also be drilling
numerous High Priority but
previously un-drilled
geophysical targets. These are
targets that the company
identified during the Tirex 2007
airborne EM geophysical survey.
As this was the first ever
airborne geophysical survey in
the history of the country, many
of these targets have never
been drill tested and provide
investors with potential
exposure to pure discovery.
Large New Area Discovered by Tirex in 2008
favourable volcanic host rocks
hidden from previous state run
exploration programs by a thin
limestone cap
this large area has never been
explored using modern methods
Tirex has identified this large new
area through deep penetrating
geophysics, geochemistry and
modern mapping methods
huge new, undrilled potential
drill targets are established for
Spring 2009 in this brand new
area
highly prospective for gold and
silver rich VMS mineralization
Precious Metals
To date, Tirex has produced outstanding gold and silver assays
Silver was never assayed for in previous Albania state run
programs and gold was assayed for very sporadically and kept a
state secret
The high gold levels in every successful Tirex drill hole thus far
indicates District-scale gold potential
Gold levels have been consistently good over long 50-65m
intercepts, with some exceptionally high grade intercepts over
5-20m lengths
Mirdita is developing into a large District-scale gold and silver
opportunity, previously unknown

Mined over 10 million tonnes of copper-bearing rock of
unspecified grade from areas on and near the property
Zinc not mined despite high grades due to a lack of processing
facilities. Gold production kept a state secret
Only limited modern exploration
Early 2007, Tirex flew the first airborne electromagnetic survey
in Albania and identified 102 geophysical anomalies, most
previously undrilled

Phase 1 drilling at Koshaj and at Gurthi South No. 2 is complete. Very
high grade, gold-rich VMS was encountered in Phase 1. Phase 2 is now
planned to further define and expand these zones.
First hole at Letitna encountered 61.5m (true width) of strong
mineralization. Multiple holes planned to follow up on this excellent
intersection in Phase 2.
Multiple holes are planned to test previously undrilled geophysical
anomalies, with the opportunity for discovery during Phase 2.
Ground geophysical work is ongoing
Major growth planned through the exploration of known deposits and
high priority exploration targets
