    (NTSE) for Class XNational Talent Search Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT started in the year 1963. The purpose of the scheme

    was to identify talented students and nurture their talent. NCERT conducts the NTSE for Students of Class X.

    1. Scholarships: On the basis of the exam conducted, 1000 scholarships will be awarded for class-X Exam. The amount of scholarship will be Rs. 1250/- per month for class XI - XII & Rs. 2000/- per month for under graduates/post graduates. Amount of scholarship for PhD be fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

    2. Reservation: 15% scholarships for SC category, 7.5% for ST category and 3% for Physically Challenged.

    3. Selection: There will be two stage selection process for award of scholarship.

    a. Stage- I, selection will be done by States / UTs through a written examination.

    b. Students, who qualify Stage-I, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination, conducted by NCERT.

    4. Eligibility: Students of Class X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the Stage-I exam.

    5. Dates for submission of application form and conduct of examination are given below:

    Stage-I (State) Last date for submission of application form: Tentatively August month. Exam in all states and Union Territories: 1st Week of Nov Stage-II (National) Exam in all states and Union Territories: 2nd week of May(Sunday) NTSE Application Form: Form can be downloaded from NCERT website (www.ncert.nic.in) also. The completed application form should be signed by the Principal of the School.

    Fees: States and UT may notify the fee required which will be paid for the Stage-I examination.

    However, NCERT does not charge any fee for Stage-II examination.

    Junior Science Talent Search Examination (JSTSE)Junior Science Talent Search Examination (JSTSE) is conduct by Science Branch of Directorate of Education, Delhi Every year usually in the month of January for the students of class IX, you need to secure 65% in your previous class VIII. The JSTSE process starts in August / September where you have to fill in a registration form and send it to the Directorate of Education. The first level paper is divided into 2 parts.Total 200 questions in 3:30 hrs.1st Part is a 1 hr. GK paper. It is a 50 marks paper. The first level paper are MCQ type in the first level with each question for 1 mark each (except some questions in GK) there is no negative marking. The GK paper includes social sciences, Basic Science & Current Affairs 50 questions[ (31 questions SST (History 15, Civics 7, Geography 8, Eco-1)], 16 Basic Science (Physics 4 Chemistry 8 Bio 4) and 3 Current Affairs.2nd Part is a 2:30 Hrs paper it includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths & Mental Ability 150 Questions (40 Physics, 40 Chemistry, 40 Biology 30 Mathematics & Mental Ability)The first round results come out usually in mid April and are uploaded at the Directorate of Education websites under public circulars like in delhi (edudel.nic.in).     About Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance examination which is conducted by National

    Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into B.E./B.Tech & B.Arch courses. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is being

    conducted in two parts- JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. JEE- Main exam is for admission in IIITs , NITs & CFTIs

    (Central Funded Technical Institute) and JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the

    candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programs offered by the IITs.It is

    conducted in the 2 nd week of Jan and April twice a year and generally. The candidates who clear JEE-Main but are not eligible for JEE-Advanced, can seek admission in other engineering

    colleges such as IIITs, NITs, and other Government and Private engineering Colleges. Every year approx. 11,47,125

    students appear in JEE-main exam and above 2,45,000 Lakh students qualify for JEE-Advanced exam.

    ABOUT INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY(IIT)The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are the prestigious Institutes in India for Admission criteria to Undergraduate

    Engineering Programs internationally recognized standards of excellence. Selection process in IIT : As per the new

    pattern for selection in IITs, candidates who have cleared JEE - Main can appear for JEE - Advanced Exam. At

    present, the IIT JEE is a single – stage objective type examination consisting of two papers of three hours duration

    each. Both papers, Paper -1 and Paper -2 each have three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

    All questions are of Objective Type, designed to test aptitude, comprehension and analytical ability of the

    candidates.JEE-Advanced is conducted in May every year and candidate is allowed maximum two attempts in JEE

    Advanced. From 2018 onwards, JEE Advanced Examination will be conducted in fully computer based test mode.

    Only top candidates of JEE-Main are eligible to appear for JEE-Advanced exam.

    Note:- A total of 800 supernumerary seats has been created specifically for women to improve the gender balance.

    The national eligibility-cum-entrance test (NEET-UG) 2020 for admission to the under graduate medical

    education will be conducted by the NTA. The ministry of human resource development (MHRD), government of

    India (GOI), has established national testing agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous and self-sustained

    premier testing organization registered under the societies registration Act, 1860.

    Eligibility to appear in NEET (UG) - Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG) is as per related Regulations is as follows:-

    National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG)

    • Age and Eligibility- Indian National, NRIs, OCLs, PIOs & foreign Nationals who have attained the age of

    17years old at the time of admission.

    • They must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology

    / Biotechnology & English as subject and a minimum aggregate of 40%, OBC/SC/ST &

    ` 45% for PWD, 50% for UR.

    • The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the

    candidate belonging to SC / ST / OBC – NCL category and PWD Candidates

    • NEET is a pen and paper-based test, to be answered on the specially designed machine gradable sheet using

    Ball Point Pen.

    As per Minister of Health and Family welfare (MOHFW), there are a total 30,455 MBBS Seats in 216

    Government Medical Colleges, 36.165 MBBS Seat in 247 Private Medical colleges including Deemed

    universites and 151 MBBS Seats in two Central Universites and 1407 MBBS Seats in 15 AIIMS, and JIPMER.

    So there are total approx, 70,000 MBBS in 482 colleges across India & approx 27,148 BDS Seats in 309 Govt.
