Tina Harris, designer – CV Tina Harris, designer – CV Based in the UK near London I am an experienced designer working within a large team of marketing professionals, concepting and designing campaigns and events across digital, print and large format. In recent years I’ve had great success developing and updating our brand at a practical and strategic level. I love designing, and the way there’s always something new to learn. I love the way design is problem solving with beauty, how it works across disciplines, and how exciting it is to always be exploring better, more efficient and more delightful ways to communicate. On a practical level, illustration, layout and copywriting are my current strengths - though I’ve recently started scripting and storyboarding again for animation (CC Edge Animate), and had hands-on video production refresher training. I spent about 7 years in television in research and production, so have organisational experience and skills within a creative environment too, but most of my career has been in design. I draw and paint, belong to a writing group, and I’m a keen vinyl guerilla. BA(Hons) Communication Design – Time Based Media, First Kent Institute of Art and Design Noel Machin prize for thesis Charities Aid Foundation April 2009 – present Designer Creative role at the UK head office of a global financial non-profit organisation, managing and developing brand, designing marketing campaigns, press ads, digital imagery, infographics, etc. – undertook a major brand update for digital and to help focus the organisation as a global brand, structured a phased rollout over 2014-15, starting with brand presentations for CEO and key stakeholders in product, comms, PR, HR and IT. I recruit brand advocates across the business and work with them to embed our culture. - instrumental in repositioning our small design team as a mini-agency by influencing decision makers to switch lucrative projects in-house. Kent Messenger Newspapers 2005 – 2010 Part-time advert production, nights TV Travel Shop 2000 – 2005 Production Manager Moved from production assistant to manager within a year, working across x2 satellite and digital 24hr TV channels, managed a budget in £m, x2 production staff and our contract with studio, edit and uplink facilities. Engaged and managed freelance crew and staff. - negotiated yearly adjustments to our studio contract averaging approx £30k savings per year. - upskilled our studio producers by arranging Final Cut Pro training, and an overseas shoot each. - managed the team through an Expedia buyout and subsequent dismantling of the business.
