Read how many minutes there are un l the next hour. Show this me on the clock face and in digital form.

Write the mes shown on the clocks in digital form then calculate how many minutes un l the next hour. The fi rst one has been done for you.

How many minutes un l the next o’clock?

In digital me, when it is later than half past the hour, we can tell how long it is un l the next o’clock.

This me says 7:40 which means a er another 20 minutes it will be 8:00. This makes sense because there are 60 minutes in an hour. 40 + 20 = 60

7:40 + 20 minutes = 8:00
