On-Scene Trauma Working Group
After care for responders is important and needs greater consideration for traffic incidents
Opportunity to prepare an Annex for use as well as basic training “vicarious liability” – when stress is left
unaddressed, it can build up. This point reiterates the need for training.
Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Teams are very effective. Peers train each other. Also, these Teams work well with folks who think “this isn’t affecting me.”
