Works:

• 800m of retaining wall and road barrier, 6-9m deep 800mm dia piles in basalt

• 1200m of new motorway lane construction

• 2.75m away from track centre

What people notice (what value will you gain in the long term):

If you stuff up, focus on moving forward not giving excuses. Ellerslie – the job ended up being shut down during April – this was a great opportunity to improve things (processes and systems are only as good as the people that implement them). Above the line focus

If something has to be done do it properly. – Hi-Rail interlocking – self imposed grounding of the fleet for 2 months. Set the standard and be proud of it – short term cost but long term profit.
