Tim Alter President Rudolph Libbe Inc. Growing up working on his family’s farm, Tim learned that seeing the tangible results of planning and hard work was very rewarding. The idea of leading a project from concept to completion appealed most to Tim and led him to a career in construction. He joined the Local #8 IBEW apprenticeship program in 1973 and gained a valuable field perspective of construction that would serve him well throughout his career. In 1983, Tim learned of an opportunity to join a newly formed construction company – GEM Inc. He was one of the original associates and thrived on the opportunity to learn while helping to grow the business. Over the next 15 years, he served in a number of leadership roles including field superintendent, operations manager and vice president of marketing and sales. Tim was named president of Rudolph Libbe Inc. in 1998. His team has been successful at transforming the business to meet the ever-changing demands that Rudolph Libbe Group customers face. The results of this success can be seen in the growing number of new and returning customers. Tim’s passion for building is only surpassed by his strong personal commitment to the safety and well-being of everyone who works on Rudolph Libbe Group projects. He firmly believes that safe projects are more successful in every respect. Under his team’s leadership, a culture of trust and accountability has grown within the company. Tim is most proud of the associates who exhibit this company culture on the job and in every customer interaction. As a result, customers have come to trust RLG to deliver projects that consistently improve their business performance. A lifelong learner, Tim is a member of Vistage International. He is actively engaged in his industry and his community, serving on the Ford Motor Company Key Supplier Council and as an executive member of the National Builders Alliance. Previously serving as chairman and board member, he remains active in the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges. He is currently a board member for the YMCA of Greater Toledo and Saint Ursula Academy.
