• Walking in the city is usually fine but, as anywhere, cautionmust be exercised, especially if alone• Avoid unlit areas and parking lots• Be on the lookout when crossing roads, especially for motorcyclists

• Beware of pick pocketing and bag snatching• Snatch thieves can be rather ruthless: women have been injured by

purse-grabbers on motorcycles• Don’t carry a large or expensive-looking bag and keep your

valuables and cash on your person rather than in a bag• Beware of Scratch and Win Scams

• You are given reward tickets to scratch/tear/peel off on spot to see ifthey win prizes, and of course you do!

• The scammers would ask victims to make advance payment if theywanted to claim their prizes
