course you will have applied through
UCAS. Please provide your UCAS number.

Only certain Postgraduate Taught (e.g. MEng) and
Postgraduate Research programmes require
ATAS certificates.

statement in your name as you will not
need to provide additional evidence.
If you cannot use your own financial
evidence the only alternative would
be to use your parents' or legal
guardians' statements. No other

can be used.

your original birth certificate, a
consent letter from your parents, and
a translation of any documents that are
not in English.

CEFR C1 = for pre-sessional (check your CAS)
RQF 6 = Undergraduate
RQF 7 = Postgraduate Taught
RQF 8 = Postgraduate Research
If you have a combined CAS
(for pre-sessional and main degree course)
please enter the main course as the
start date (later date) and the main course
end date as you may be eligible for the
Tier 4 pilot scheme if you are doing a Masters
course that is 13 months or less.

You can only deduct up to a maximum
of £1,265 for accommodation payments
from your maintenance costs (total
is £9,135 for courses that are 9 months or
longer), even if you have paid more.
You can ONLY deduct accommodation
payments if you will be living in
university accommodation (not privately
rented).
If you rent privately the answer
must be No.

BIOMETRIC RESIDENCE PERMIT (BRP) COLLECTION (OVERSEAS APPLICATIONS):
You are required to collect your visa (Biometric Residence Permit - BRP) when you arrive in the UK.
The University of Bath is able to offer BRP collection from the University campus, rather than the Post Office.
To collect from the University of Bath, you will need to enter our Alternative Collection Location Code which you
will be asked to do when going through the payment process.

Student ServicesYou need to demonstrate:
1. Your tuition fees for one year
2. Maintenance £1,015 per month up to 9 months - £9,135. (£680 per
month up to 9 months for dependants - £6,120).
3. OR scholarship letter on headed paper (email a scan to
[email protected] to check that this will be
acceptable).
Bank statement check
Check whether your bank statements will be accepted (see flowchart):
1. Is the statement in YOUR name?
2. Is the account a cash account? NOT shares/investments/credit
cards/bonds/business accounts
3. Is it a current or savings account? (Both are acceptable)
4. Does the statement have the NAME and LOGO of the bank?
5. Does the statement show the ACCOUNT NUMBER?
6. If using parents’ statement they need to provide a consent letter.
7. Include your original birth certificate if using parents’ statement to prove the
relationship
8. If it is not in GBP you need to print out an Oanda currency conversion on the
date of your online application submission:
9. Is it an ORIGINAL document on headed paper? OR (if it is printed from an
online account)- is there an official stamp on EVERY page?
10. Does it include the date of issue?
11. Will the money have been in the account for 28 days or more on the day
you will apply for your visa?
12. Is the date on the statement no more that 31 days before the date of your
application?
13. What is the lowest balance in this time period? Is it more than you need to
show evidence of?
