Ticketmaster Verified Fan®

How Does it Work?

Ticketmaster Verified Fan® is committed to getting more tickets into the hands of fans. Not bots. We’re collaborating with artists who want to leverage powerful Ticketmaster technology to create a safe, reliable,

ticket-buying experience for their fans. Ticketmaster Verified Fan does not guarantee that everyone will get a ticket, but it does level the playing field so a fan is only up against another fan – without racing against bots –

for the same ticket.

Login with your Ticketmaster account or

create an account during your registration.

The day before tickets go on sale, you’ll receive an email with information

about your Verified Fan invitation status.

Once your information has been submitted,

you’ll receive an email to confirm you registered

successfully.

If verified and invited to shop, you’ll receive a text

the morning tickets go on sale with your access

code and link.

Brand & Communications

Program Name

Logo & Colors

Remember, it’s about getting rid of bots, not people. One of the most important things we’ve learned when communicating about Verified Fan, is to ensure fans understand that this process is not about deciding who real, better or true fans are. We love ALL fans. It’s about separating HUMAN fans from bots, so that fans have the best opportunity to shop for tickets, fairly and safely.

When using Ticketmaster Verified Fan and Verified Fan within communication assets, please follow a few simple rules:

1. The registration mark ® must be included upon first mention and in the main headline. 2. Hashtags should only be used in social media and/or blogs posts with tagging features.3. Upon first mention, please use the full program name, Ticketmaster Verified Fan. All additional

mentions may use Verified Fan, if space is limited.

1. When building promotional assets and communication plans, drive the focus to removing bots and creating a safe/fair ticket-buying experience.

2. Stay away from themes that refer to real fans, the best fans or rewarding ture fans. This experience is not about one’s level of fandom, but a more reliable way to get tickets into the hands of fans...new and old.

3. Reinforce that Verified Fan is easy! A simple registration is all it takes to get verified and invited to shop for tickets, without competing against bots.

Ongoing Campaign & Reinforcement Messaging

Pinning to Feeds

Video Assets

Reinforcement is key.• Facebook/Instagram: Pending registration length, post at least once per week (twice per week is

recommended)• Twitter: A post every couple of days to drive registration works best

Switch up assets & messaging.• The most effective tool is a simple video • Post images and engage with your fans• Post reminders about when registration closes to help reinforce urgency• On the final day of registration, post a “Last Call” message to your fans

• Pinning a tweet pushing to registration to the top of your Twitter feed is highly recommended

• Similarly, pinning a post to the top of your Facebook is also recommended• And for Instagram, temporarily having your bio link to registration (along with a post

noting it) is also very helpful

Simple, social video posts directly from the artist have the most impact driving registrations as well as showing the fans the artists are truly involved and are doing this for the fans.

• Videos should ask fans to register for the Verified Fan program to get tickets to the upcoming tour and should clearly drive directly to the registration page

• If you can take advantage of Instagram stories / Snapchat functionality linking out to registration page (or swipe to link) that would be incredibly impactful

• Ticketmaster can partner with your team to provide talking points or script building

• If you create a video - please provide us with a video file. We would love to post and amplify that from our side as well

• Additionally, you can give the Ticketmaster Facebook Page cross-posting rights for videos. Ticketmaster can then share out the same video asset(s), and all the views are in one place. Find out more here: https://www.facebook.com/help/678485232304895

2Keep The Details Locked In Place. Fans pay extra attention to the little things like ticket limits, venues and ticket prices. Changes mid flow can often lead to fan confusion and frustration.

Keep Fans Informed. It’s best to keep one consistent message when it comes to answering fan questions. If something changes, ensure you actively plan to inform fans, especially if it’s a chance that impacts show, venue or registration details.

Spread The Word And Drive Registration. Promoting registration, why you are using Verified Fan, and making this authentic to your fans and community, goes a long way.
