January 14, 2010 Marc-André Millaire Litigation -Management and Resolutions Branch INAC Room 1430 25 ED 10 Wellington Street Gatineau, QC K1A 0H4 Dear Mr. Millaire, The City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) are planning to construct a new maintenance and storage facility for light rail vehicles (LRVs) that will run on the existing streetcar network in Toronto. The facility is planned for the south-east corner of Leslie Street and Lake Shore Boulevard East. New track will also be laid to connect this facility to the existing track network along Leslie Street from Commissioners Street to Queen Street East. The project will be undertaken under Ontario Regulation 231/08 - Transit Projects and Greater Toronto Transportation Authority Undertakings (2008). The environmental impact of this project will be assessed in accordance with the Transit Project Assessment Process. A pre-consultation public meeting is tentatively scheduled to take place:
