Most have normal general intelligence but it is common for them to be markedly clumsy
Occurs mostly in boys (in a ratio of about 8 boys to 1 girl)
Statistics show the rates of Autism and Asperger Syndrome are increasing
Symptoms persist into adolescence and adult life
