The MATLAB software is easy-to-use for beginners to learn
and work on it. It runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Teach-
ers and students can use it to build low cost scientific instru-
mental projects and can test by simulation which reduces

Purpose of the Training:
1) This program aims to provide the opportunity for the
participants to have hands-on experience on image
processing using MATLAB

Projects during Training:
Image read &write operation: This project will clarify
the usage of reading and writing of input and output
respectively
Image Conversion: This process deals with the conver-
sion of one form of image into other form.
Histogram Analysis: This Project will help us to utilize
histogram for the given image.
Image Enhancement: Helps us to enhance the quality
of the image.
Image Segmentation: It synthesis the edge detection of
the given image.
Image restoration: This technique is used in removing
the noise using different filters.

MATLAB is one of the most advanced tool in the recent
history of technological advancement covering a broad range
of applications like defense, traffic management, transporta-
tion, healthcare, entertainment, appliances control & utility
services, security, home & industrial automation, remote mon-
itoring, smart cities, smart farming, smart grid etc.
The aim of this training is to impart knowledge about the
applications of image processing among students. The train-
ing will focus on both theoretical as well as hands-on experi-
ence in MATLAB software to learn the things for image pro-
cessing applications using the MATLAB.
About MATLAB :
The name MATLAB stands for MATrix LABoratory.
MATLAB was written originally to supply quick access to ma-
trix package. MATLAB could be a superior language for tech-
nical computing. The MATLAB language, a matrix-based lan-
guage permitting the foremost natural expression of machine
arithmetic, ample engineers and scientists in business and
world use MATLAB. It spreads applications together with
deep learning and machine learning, signal process and com-
munications, image and video process. It could be a scripting
language with core functions pre-compiled as mex files.
